I'm Maggie Mae and lots of you probably remember seeing me looking for my new home before. I am a sweet little girl but have some fear based issues so have been living and working with a wonderful behaviorist (DVM) and her family.
I am ready to start looking for my forever home and in order for me to find this, my adopter is going to have to be 100+% committed to continuing to work with me on the things I'm learning now. This will include working with my behaviorist for awhile. I'm certain my person will find that I am worth it!
My wish list for that forever home will include a fenced yard, a quiet household without kids, a mom or dad who is home a fair amount and has the time, patience and desire to continue making me a priority. I like to play with other dogs, but would be quite happy as an only dog and having occasional play dates, I like dog-friendly kitties and would be happy to have a kitty friend!
If you meet the criteria above and have an approved application on file, please email Marcie. Please note that due to the large quantity of inquiries GRRACE received for me in the past, each application will be reviewed and those who meet the criteria will be contacted to further discuss my behavior modification.
Adoption Fee: $300

Meet Goose! Goose is a one-year old handsome golden boy looking for a special forever home. Goose came to GRRACE after we got a call from a local shelter that he had been surrendered. We were immediately taken by his exuberance for life and love and treats, as well as his beauty! We learned pretty quickly that while 99% of the time, Goose was just a typical lover; he also had extreme issues with resource guarding. GRRACE enlisted the assistance of a wonderful behaviorist/trainer and Goose has been living with him and practicing his new lessons since November. Goose needs a home with a dog savvy person; not just a person with lots of dog experience, but a truly savvy dog person. He will need a fenced yard and no kids in the home. Adults only, no exceptions. His adopter will need to be committed to ongoing training, both with his trainer and constant continued work at home. Consistency is crucial and when followed, Goose does really well and will make a lovely companion for that special someone. If you have the time, patience and desire that Goose needs, and have an approved application on file, please email Marcie. PLEASE NOTE: Emails to the foster contact listed above will only be answered if you have an APPROVED application on file with GRRACE. Requests for information from non-approved applicants will not be answered. Please email the foster contact listed in the paragraph above, NOT the info@grrace email. If you'd like to adopt from GRRACE in the future, we encourage you to submit an Application as the approval process can take 1-3 weeks.
