Meet Roussel! Or "Roo" for short, since his bark sounds more like "rooo roooo roooo" instead of a normal bark. This poodle is an older guy - he's around 11 years old. He's living in a foster home where he can get some much needed quiet times, since he can get a little anxious. (At 11 years old, who can blame him!?)
Roo is house trained and good with other dogs and cats, as long as they give him his space. He can't see anymore, so he gets nervous if there's potential to get stepped on. He's also a strong-willed guy, so he enjoys pets on the head, but only on his terms. Once he gets to know his people, he lets his quirky personality show.
Roo's safe space is his big, soft bed, which is where he goes to decompress and relax. He also loves his foster's bedroom, so once he gets in there he's happy to roll around and play.
Roo's ideal home is one without kids, due to his anxiety. He would do great in a home with older owners who have lots of quiet time and patience to help him through his nervous spells. Roo's best qualities are his loving personality and his penchant for relaxing! He enjoys being a couch potato...could you find room on your couch for him?
