Oreo was an owner turn in at Cobb County Animal Control due to his family moving to a place they could not take him. He is an elderly gentleman who spends most of his time sleeping. He has a few teeth, but not many. He was neutered at 12 years old after entering our care but has forgiven us this travesty. He has some cloudiness in his eyes, possibly cataracts. He was 7 pounds when we got him but is now a little over 9 pounds. He had some trouble with a gimpy leg, but glucosamine and CBD oil have helped him tremendously and he will sometimes run a little and play. He is missing a lot of hair on his back which the vet said was due to him being an old man. In the winter, he wears a sweater. He gets along with other dogs and tolerates the cats, but he will protest loudly if they get too close. He is very sweet natured and loves to be petted. He is very good with not pottying in the house, he has pee pads that he uses if he can't wait until he is taken outside. Despite being a bit decrepid, he takes home security very seriously like most chihuahuas and will answer the doorbell by rising creakily from his bed and running toward the door a little unsteadily and bark menacingly. Since he can't see very well, he covers all bases by barking at everyone, even if they live here and even if he saw them 5 minutes ago, but if you say his name he is apologetic and wags his tail and stops barking. It is a long shot to find him a good home at this point, but maybe he will find that special person.  show less
