If you are less than 18, what is your age?
Persons over the age of 16 may work without a parent present but you may NOT handle dogs or walk dogs, until you are 18.
What times and days are you available to work?
We are open Monday and Tuesday, 1 to 4 pm. And Thurs, Fri, Sat and Sun from noon to 5 pm. When you first volunteer, you will need to work DURING open hours. If you become a long term volunteer in certain roles, meaning you are consistently volunteering over a period of a few months, and have been fully trained, hours can be more flexible.
With which animals are you interested in working?
In which areas are you able to assist?
What skills or experience do you have that relates to this opportunity?
What physical limitations do you have? Any allergies?
What do you hope to achieve with this work? Do you have a specific goal you want to accomplish?
Is this a short term need to fulfill National Honor Society; Diversion, High School or College Credit, Boy Scout Projects, etc? If so, please explain below. (If you have court ordered Diversion hours to complete, you do NOT need to apply or attend orientation. Bring your paperwork to the shelter during business hours. You should arrive AT NOON to ensure you can work. It's first come, first serve.)
Are you over the age of 18?
Please note: You cannot walk dogs until you are 18. If less than 18, we have lots of other jobs supporting the animals.
Are you willing to commit to working at least one day per week consistently? (This does NOT mean you can't volunteer for less time but we need reliable, long term volunteers, too.)
If No, how much time can you spend at the shelter? What days?
