About Grayson

Adoption Fee: $75.00

They call me Grayson.  Everyone who sees me says "OMG, what a beautiful cat!  Don't they know I am an alpha male?  I am Handsome, and I know it.

When we first meet, I may be a little nonchalant.  But, if I like you, I just might sit next to you or, if I really like you, I’ll sit on your lap and allow you to massage me.  I know what you’ll say when you touch me, "His fur is so luxurious".  I take very good care of my appearance.  There’s a lot of pressure when your only outfit is a velvet, gray tuxedo.

My friend, Oscar, is my best bud.  We’d like to stay together, if possible.  As I said, I’m an alpha male.  He’s not.  So he lets me be the boss.

Sometimes, I get very scared and I act crazy.  The first time I went inside, I freaked out and went berserk.  But, now, I love being inside where it is safe and clean and my paws stay much cleaner using a litterbox than digging in the dirt.

Although I may take a little time to trust you, I am a very loving, gentle companion.  If you don’t have any other pets, Oscar and I would love to be a part of your family.

I am FIV+, but don't let that scare you - I can live safely with spayed/neutered, FIV- cats inside without any problems. Ask my adoption screener and she can give you all the information you need. You can also Google FIV+ cats and learn about us. We are awesome cats!! Seriously? Do I look unhealthy? Do I look like a cat that fights? Of course not!!  I can't wait to meet you!!

Mia is a tad snobbish and she has no tail - no correlation between the two, just sayin'. Mia is a very independent, stunning beauty. She also has a stunning personality - she utterly stuns you with her lack of interest in you. Mia is dedicated to play, food and sleep - you are absolutely in last place on her list of favorites. She loves playing with her sister, brother and foster siblings. Playing with you? Well, you better have a red dot she can chase, a "Da Bird" wand she can stalk, pounce and kill or some awesome cat nip infused toy that is out of this world! In Mia's world, you (as a clueless human) have one purpose: you are her servant. Mia's twitter ID would be @youarebeneathme. Despite her aloofness, she will randomly want a little attention. She will sometimes sit close to you or lay at the foot of the bed by your feet and just gaze at you (judging you no doubt). Put a box in the floor and her snobby nature is replaced immediately by simple "oh my gosh it is a box" raw kitten fun!! If you wish to adopt a lap cat, Mia is NOT your girl. Move along please. If you wish to adopt an independent beauty that will hang out near you, Mia IS your girl. If you can provide an empty box on a regular schedule, you will most likely win her over - just don't let her know that you know!!  Mia loves other cats and kittens and is oblivious to the big dog in her foster home. She prefers a quieter environment and expects your home to accommodate her wishes (she will not do well with younger, energetic, loud children).   You can submit an adoption application for Mia at www.myhstc.org/cats. Please email hstcpurrs@gmail.com if you have any questions or would like more information on Mia. show less

This miracle young dog is Roxy, a pit bull less than a year old.  Why is she a miracle you ask?  Because it is a miracle she is alive and now thriving.  Roxy was picked up by animal control with a chain collar embedded around her neck (before pictures can be provided upon request).  The officers immediately rushed her to our vet where she underwent surgery to remove the collar.  Weeks later, her stitches have been removed, the wounds completed healed and she has just a few small scars to show the ordeal she endured.  You would think Roxy might hold a grudge against humans for what was done to her but she feels exactly the opposite.  She loves people and wants nothing more than to be right where ever the people are-dogs really are the most forgiving of creatures.  She loves children and is great with other dogs but we have learned she wants to play too roughly for cats.  She really is a special dog and deserves a special home.  Roxy is up to date with shots, spayed, crate trained, negative for heartworms and on prevention.  If you think you can provide a loving home to Roxy, please visit our website at www.myhstc.org to submit an adoption application.. Adoption fee is $85 which includes all veterinary care If you have never adopted from us before, we prescreen all applicants prior to meeting our pets.  To be screened, please visit our website at www.myhstc.org to submit an application. show less
