About Molly

Hi Adopters! My name is Molly and I am a barrel of fun! The nice doctor who checked me out said I’m somewhere between 8 and 11 years old, but my foster mom doesn’t believe it!   She says I act more like a five year old girl. I still run and jump like a younger pup, and don’t even get me started on a good squirrel chase.  I am not on any medications, and I have no signs of arthritis; I’m just a happy, healthy girl!  Once I’m inside though I become a snuggler.  I love human contact and give lots of gentle kisses. I am gentle around kids, good with other dogs cats and all people.  I have also recently learned that I love the water!  I know some basic obedience like how to sit, stay and shake too!

Given my agility and enthusiasm for life I would do best in a home with a physically fenced back yard where I am free to run.  I get along fine with my two old lady foster sisters, but I’d be fine on my own.

If you have an approved application on file and a fenced yard, and would like to meet me, please email Marcie. I’m being fostered in Zionsville.

Meet Goose! Goose is a one-year old handsome golden boy looking for a special forever home. Goose came to GRRACE after we got a call from a local shelter that he had been surrendered. We were immediately taken by his exuberance for life and love and treats, as well as his beauty! We learned pretty quickly that while 99% of the time, Goose was just a typical lover; he also had extreme issues with resource guarding. GRRACE enlisted the assistance of a wonderful behaviorist/trainer and Goose has been living with him and practicing his new lessons since November. Goose needs a home with a dog savvy person; not just a person with lots of dog experience, but a truly savvy dog person. He will need a fenced yard and no kids in the home. Adults only, no exceptions. His adopter will need to be committed to ongoing training, both with his trainer and constant continued work at home. Consistency is crucial and when followed, Goose does really well and will make a lovely companion for that special someone. Goose was adopted to the absolute perfect home for him but sadly, and through NO fault of his own, Goose came back to us recently. His adopter suffered a family tragedy which resulted in a huge life change and he could not keep Goose. If you have the time, patience and desire that Goose needs, and have an approved application on file, please email Marcie. PLEASE NOTE: Emails to the foster contact listed above will only be answered if you have an APPROVED application on file with GRRACE. Requests for information from non-approved applicants will not be answered. If you'd like to adopt from GRRACE in the future, we encourage you to submit an Application as the approval process can take 1-3 weeks. Hi everyone! My name is Star! I am 7 years old and am a retired puppy mill breeder. Life was pretty scary and hard before I was rescued, but I'm smiling now because life is starting to be great! My foster mom says I am the sweetest and prettiest girl in the world and she has been very helpful to teach me all about the good life. I like to howl at sirens when I am outside and play with all the toys my foster brothers have when my foster mom and dad aren't looking. Sometimes I even pick up their shoes and move them to my favorite room! I have been with my foster family for about a month now and they say that I'm making lots of progress! I was so afraid at first that I would just crouch and hide but now I look people in the eye in hopes that they will love on me. I'm learning that walks with my favorite foster brother are fun and I like it when my foster parents lay with me and tell me about all the adventures I will get to go on. Oh! and I get really excited when it is time for breakfast and dinner too! I need a quiet home with no kids and a family that will be patient with me and continue to teach me new things. I need lots of positive reinforcement so that I know that I am safe. I'll also need other dogs to play with and be my buddies because other dogs really help me feel more confident. IF you have an approved application, a structurally fenced yard and time to devote to Star (she is SO worth it!), please email Marcie. Star is being fostered in Greenwood, IN. PLEASE NOTE: Emails to the foster contact listed above will only be answered if you have an APPROVED application on file with GRRACE. Hi my name is Trooper! I am 11 years young! I came to GRRACE as an owner surrender; I was very loved by my family. My foster parents nickname for me is “Moose” because I am one of the biggest goldens they have ever fostered. I am a very tall handsome boy and weigh 98 lbs, but I am not overweight, just big boned ;) The gentle giant so to speak! I got a clean bill of health from the vet and they said I was the sweetest dog ever! I get along really well with other dogs and kids. Cats are still an unknown, but I am a gentle soul so likely will be fine. I like to follow my foster peeps around the house and touch them whenever possible but I definitely like my down time; I am 11 after all. I am house trained and can be left alone while you are away - no need to crate me! I did great with my bath and grooming. I will require a house with a fenced backyard as I like to go and explore if given the opportunity. I love attention and belly rubs and I even have a couple of tricks up my sleeve. I might be an older pup but I have plenty of life left in me and I need a special family who can appreciate a special guy! Trooper is being fostered in McCordsville, IN. If you have an approved application on file, please email Marcie. Emails will only be returned to those with approved applications - you must have an approved application to schedule a meet & greet with a GRRACE dog) PLEASE NOTE: Emails to the foster contact listed above will only be answered if you have an APPROVED application on file with GRRACE.
