BENI the Beagle is a happy, loving and playful 20 month old boy who came from less than ideal living conditions. Prior to being rescued, BENI spent his life tied outside. He had demodex mange from his filthy living conditions and is still taking medications for his yeasty/allergy skin. Sadly, the unruly children living in the home also enjoyed kicking BENI around, especially when BENI tried to come inside... But, onward and upward SWEET boy. Today is a NEW day, and BENI is ready for a NEW life! BENI is good with people, LOVES respectful children and is good with dogs. He is potty trained, knows how to use a doggy door and is crate trained. BENI would thrive in a structured environment and would enjoy a canine companion in his new FURever home. The adoption fee is $200 which includes their age appropriate vaccinations(DA2PP and Bordetella), Dewormer, spay/neuter, microchip, heartworm test as well as the registration of their microchip information to you. Good morning friends! My name is KARLY. I may look young but they say I am about 12 years old. The kind people from PAR saved me from a shelter because, well, they knew my chances of getting out alive were slim. PAR took me to the Veterinarian and the Doctor said I am in rough shape from all the years of neglect I endured. I have heartworms, an enlarged heart, a grade 6 heart murmur & bilateral nasal fistulas. They said I could take medicine to get rid of the heartworms but that was about it. I only have a few teeth but it doesn't stop me from eating. I have 2 luxating patellas but I hear from a lot of little Chi's like me that they do too!! I also have some disc problems in my back. It doesn't stop me though. I show my foster mommy daily that I can go in and out the doggie door. After all, I prefer to potty outside. I like kids but would do best with older ones as it can hurt if I get picked up the wrong way. My foster mommy has active dogs at her home and I am good but will growl if they bother me. I love to sleep in bed next to my foster mom and though she REALLY loves me, she wants to give someone else the chance to love me because I AM SO VERY SPECIAL and I have lots of LOVE left to give. They say I need hospice care but my foster mommy likes to call it "a home to love me for the time I have left"... The adoption fee is $50 which includes their age appropriate vaccinations(DA2PP and Bordetella), Dewormer, spay/neuter, microchip, heartworm test as well as the registration of their microchip information to you.
