About Ford

Ford is a 3-4 yr old Bullmastiff. We were originally told he was around 5 yrs old, but our vet aged him a little younger. He is very timid, all noises and sudden movement scare him. He does relax after getting used to a new home and new noises, but if he has not heard the noise before he gets jumpy. We have not heard a peep out of him since the day he came into rescue, no bark, whine, or growl. This boy is all love.

Ford is terribly afraid of certain items, we have not seen all of them yet, but we found cooking pans are something he runs from. He will stay away until he feels safe to come back around. This poor boy, we just cannot imagine what he has been through. Ford has some separation anxiety and if left outside alone when you are not home, he will jump or break through a 6 ft fence. He should not be allowed outside when you are not home and does best with a confident dog in the home that he can attach to. Ford cannot be an only dog and rescue remedy helps him a lot if given to him before you leave. He is just anxious and afraid to be alone.

Ford is heartworm positive and already starting his first step in treatment. If the adopting family is local, he can be adopted while undergoing treatment, as long as the adopting family agrees to adhere to the guidelines given by the vet during the full timeframe of treatment. He is neutered and up to date on vaccinations. Aside from the heartworms, Ford is a healthy boy and we do not forsee long term issues from the heartworms or treatment.

Adoption Fee: $250

Dakota is a 6 yr old very sweet girl. She thinks she is a lap dog and will keep you laughing. Dakota does great with dogs, cats, chickens, kids, and people. She prefers you let her approach you first, but once she is comfortable with you, she will talk your ear off! She is a counter surfer. She can be left free roam in the house as long as she is not allowed in the kitchen. Our sweet girl has one small flaw, she is absolutely beyond terrified of the vet. She had to be sedated for blood draw and is not a fan of the vet's office. We did try an in home vet that could touch her and love on her, but as soon as any vet instruments came out, Dakota was scared and unruly. We do believe with positive reinforcement and trust, Dakota could be fine at the vet's office, she just needs someone who is willing to take her there often for visits and to get cookies from all her friends and be exposed to the vet instruments. Over time she would learn to trust them and not be so scared. Otherwise, she needs to be sedated for all vetting needs. Aside from the fear of the vet, Dakota will definitely make you smile, laugh, and love so hard that you just won't regret overlooking that one flaw to adopt her. Dakota is up to date on vaccinations and spayed. She is available for adoption and her adoption fee is $250. show less

Meet Gorgeous Gracie Mae! She is a 2 year old terrier mix. We do not know what she is mixed with but it sure is beautiful! Gracie came into rescue with her puppies and all of her puppies have found forever homes. But, poor Gorgeous Gracie is still looking for hers. She LOVES to snuggle and get affection. While she is amazing with kids, she also gets super protective of them. So, we think she would be best without young kids. Gracie needs a family that will be consistent and have clear boundaries. She is a great girl but boundaries teach her to wait and watch her people instead of guessing what she should do next. She is good with other dogs but can be reactive when first meeting. As soon as you correct her, she responds well. She does have interest in smaller animals, so another dog her size or bigger suits her better. Gracie loves to snuggle her foster brother and play with him. Gracie is also good off leash when taught her space boundaries. Gracie Mae just thrives with a calm family. She doesn't like to be forced to give attention (trust issues) but when she does trust you and love you, you cannot give her enough love. She just needs someone who can take a little time with her, show her she is safe, and teach her how to be confident. She responds so well with a calm assertive personality (meaning someone who is firm but calm and has patience). Most trainers have zero issues with her because they just have the prescense that Gracie appreciates. Give her a chance, you won't regret it. show less
