About Sunshine

Available for adoption early June

Sunshine and Shadow were born at the beginning of April and were living in an outdoor storage barn. When they were about 4 to 5 weeks old they were rescued from what would have been a rough life as outdoor, feral cats.

Now, they are happy, playful indoor kittens looking for their forever home. They sleep, run, explore, eat and play together. They eat with gusto and literally dive into their food. They love being petted and tummy rubs. They both like to sit on their foster dad's shoulders or to curl up on his lap and nap.

They tested negative for Feline Leukemia and FIV and have received their first kitten vaccination.

Sunshine is a quiet Calico girl and she is bold and curious. Each day brings a new surprise with her activities. She was first to jump onto and from the recliner, to jump from the chair to the sofa, to climb the carpeted 6-foot cat pole and to figure out how to get onto the window sill with the warm sunlight.

Adoption Fee: $105.00

Amanda currently weighs 35 pounds, but could stand to gain a few more. Meet Amanda! If you look up the meaning of Amanda you will find the following: "deserving to be loved," "worthy of love," or "loved very much by everyone." Our newest PAW pup couldn't have asked for a more perfect name. She is sweet, gentle, mellow and looking for a family. Amanda is a 5-6 year old retriever mix. Her striking medium length black coat shines in the light. Her pictures don't do her justice; she is gorgeous! She likes to sit and be brushed. Of course beauty isn't everything. Amanda is a very good leash walker. She has a slower easy pace and likes to meet the other morning neighborhood walkers. Amanda currently lives with a foster family. She is sharing the home with adults, kids, dogs, and cats. Amanda likes the company of the dogs, but if given the choice she’d rather hang with people. So she could be happy in a home with or without a doggie companion. She ignores the cats. Her foster family says Amanda is a great house guest and is potty-trained. She starts off a little shy but when she warms up to you she wants nothing more than to cuddle. Amanda sleeps in a large crate at night. She tries to use her beautiful brown eyes to convince her foster family to let her sleep on the couch. Luckily she is food motivated and quickly responds to soft treats. So if you have a place in your heart and home for this wonderful girl, please give her a chance! Banana is an active, curious kitten who was born in a shelter and who loves to wrestle and play with her foster brothers. She is not afraid of anything - including new people or the household dog! Her eyes are particularly beautiful with an unusual mix of blue and green. She's social, but loves to settle down in the evening with her favorite human friend and her foster brother Camden. Banana’s best friend is Camden, another 4 month old kitten I’m fostering. They play and wrestle together, and enjoy grooming each other - in fact, Banana loves to ‘suckle’ on any kitty tummy she can, and while the other cats in the household don’t particularly care for this harmless habit of hers, Camden seems to humor her just fine! I would like to find a home for these two adorable kittens together - they compliment each other so well and are truly bonded. Banana has tested negative for FIV and Feline Leukemia. She is up to date on shots, neutered and microchipped. To meet Bananas, please contact Heather N. Come and meet our PAW cats at one of our weekend adoption shows at local area pet stores. All the cats don't attend every adoption show so if you are interested in meeting a particular cat send in an email to make arrangements. ADOPT FRED! This sweet boy is Fred, a 5 year old hound mix weighing 66 lbs. Fred was rescued from a neglect situation so is really enjoying all of the human affection he now receives as he didn’t receive it in his previous home. Fred is a super easy-going pup. At the kennel, he plays with his dog friends for a little bit, and then goes back in his run to take a morning nap. Then will play a little more, then back to sleep. He loves to be outdoors and will need daily exercise, but he is also content with taking a nap and snuggling. .He's still getting used to car rides; something he probably didn't do much of while living at his previous home. He will need basic training but should catch on quick as he aims to please. He loves to sniff and chase squirrels in trees. He is a very gentle pup and really just loves the outdoors and human snuggles. Fred gets along with everyone, human and dog friends, although small fluffy dogs look a lot like squirrels so a home with that type of dog may not be the best fit for Fred. The same goes for cats. This sweet and gentle boy would love a home to call his own - preferably with a family that loves the outdoors!. Paddy is a 2 year old American Bulldog mix and weighs 56 lbs. Paddy was mistreated in the past and can be selective when meeting new people, but he loves his small “group”. He needs an experienced and patient family, with no young kids. Paddy does great with his two canine foster siblings. Paddy is housebroken. Paddy loves to run around in the yard, play fetch with a ball and will always return it to you. He knows the command "drop" and will drop the ball and sit for you all while waiting for the ball to be thrown again. Another favorite of his is playing tug-of-war with a big rope toy! However, he does like to shred them along with any stuffed toy, so best to have a few indestructible toys that he can't destroy. He loves slippers and socks so be prepared to put them away! Paddy believes he is a lap dog, knows when to settle down and relax, and he enjoys being with his people. He's a smart, gentle, lovable boy waiting for his forever family. Ranger is 5 years old and weighs 52 pounds. This gorgeous boy is getting a new lease on life. After a very rough beginning in life, he is embracing all the good times coming his way. Ranger was left outdoors tied up to a tree. Then his guardian angel arrived (now his foster Mom) convincing his owner to sign him over to a rescue group. And not a minute too soon....Ranger had to have surgery for a blockage that most certainly would have taken his life if not for the quickness of his foster angel. Not surprisingly, Ranger is also heartworm positive. PAW will make sure Ranger gets all the treatment he needs. Ranger recently attended his first adoption event and he clearly is a people dog. He greeted all people that came up to meet him with a friendly tail wag, and happily sought out affection. He is going to make a faithful companion for some lucky person/family. Teagan, a 45-pound, strikingly handsome one-year-old shepherd/mountain-dog mix, needs to be in a foster home or forever home. As a stray puppy who ended up in a rural shelter, he had no one to love him, socialize him, or teach him basic manners. PAW asked for help from an excellent trainer, and he’s making great progress with her. Watch Teagan on youtube He will flourish in a home where his primary person is physically strong, dog-experienced, and confident in working with an energetic, strong-willed youngster. PAW will provide a review of his training for the foster. He would make a great running partner! Teagan has beautiful brindle fur and chocolate-drop eyes that plead with you to take him home. He is exceedingly smart and loyal. After training or play, he loves to cuddle and be physically close, but he’s picky with his dog friends and would do best as an only pet—and probably where there are no small children (because he could knock them over). He needs a tall privacy fence, or someone dedicated to leash-walking him. We have seen that Teagan is a great hiking and exploring companion! He may be a diamond in the rough, but he is one of the most wonderful of dogs. Ziggy has BIG news to share....he has finished his heartworm treatment! He is so happy to be able to run, play, and jump like a true one year old dog. He has been on crate rest for the last few months while getting rid of those nasty heartworms. That is especially tough for a young energetic guy like Ziggy. Ziggy currently lives with two foster brothers and gets along fine with them, but can be a bit selective with doggie playmates at the adoption events. Ziggy would do awesome with someone who likes to run or go for hikes. And you should see him jump....there may be some flyball for frisbee is in his future. He would probably love agility too as he is very smart and these activities would challenge his mind as well as burn off some energy. Ziggy is housetrained. Ziggy is 1 year old and weighs 40 pounds.
