About Sunshine

Shadow (m) & Sunshine (f) are siblings born outdoors in early April and rescued when 4 to 5 weeks old.  They have socialized well and truly are people cats.  They adjust quickly to new persons and vie for their attention.  They love being petted and to curl up with or on anyone available when they are not playing. They are both energetic and play hard.  When they tire, they often curl up together for naps.

They get along well with other cats - so well so that the older cats soon seek out quiet corners for some peace and quiet. They are curious about the dogs that they see at the adoption shows but otherwise we have no experience with their coexistence with dogs.

They tested negative for Feline Leukemia and FIV and are age appropriately current with all vaccinations and veterinary care. They have been fixed and are micro-chipped.

Shadow loves to talk and lets you know it.  He also insists that he must be the center of attention.  He will butt right in when he sees another cat getting attention.  He loves chasing balls, bottle caps, and anything he can find around the floor.  This chasing includes my older cats despite their lack of enthusiasm for his energy.  He is very curious about everything and boldly goes about checking out everything new.  The most common places to find him are perched on the top of the cat scratching/climbing toy, sitting in the bathtub or curled up in the bathroom sink.

Sunshine loves all petting and especially tummy rubs.  She is generally the first to greet you when you enter a room.  She loves chasing toys and balls and, for her, a small ice cube from the freezer is a wonderful toy.  She idolizes the older cats and is always 'kissing' them and following them around.  She is energetic and has no fear of Shadow and will jump him in order to begin vigorous play.  She also likes being in the bathtub and curling up in the bathroom sink.  In addition, she likes to lick/drink the water remaining in the bathtub and sink.

Hi, I'm Haylie.  I'm a 6 month old lab mix.  Currently I weigh around 40 pounds and my black fur shines in the sun.  If you are looking for a very sweet energetic pup, then I might be the perfect addition to your family.   Currently I am living with my foster family.  There are a lot of playmates here and I do well with all of them.  The cats don't like me much though.  They hiss at me, just because I like to sniff at new things! My foster mom tells me "No Kitties" and then I know the sniffing needs to stop.  The kids are great.  I like it when they give me hugs and go outside with me.  My doggie foster sisters are a lot of fun.  We wrestle and play together.  I would be lonely if I didn't have anyone to play with so my forever home needs to have at least one other dog so we can play together!   I love running around outside.  My perfect home would have a nice fenced yard.  After a hard day of playing I like to curl up on the couch.  Okay, actually I like to sprawl out on the couch, causing everyone else to sit around me.  I also like to chew on rope toys and chase tennis balls.   My foster mom says I am a great house guest since I am potty trained and I hardly ever bark.  She also says I am young and energetic, but not destructive.   I can "sit" and I'm working on my leash skills.  I don't love going into my crate at night but once I'm in, I settle down quickly. Come and meet our PAW dogs at one of our weekend adoption shows at local area pet stores.  The shows run from 12 - 2 pm.  Not all our dogs attend every show so if you are interested in meeting a particular dog send an email to info@paw-rescue.org before coming to the show to arrange a visit.   show less

Paddy is an adorably handsome 3 year old American Bulldog mix and weighs 56 lbs. He is a playful and super cuddly boy with soft eyes and a happy tail that's always wagging. Paddy does great with his two canine foster siblings and loves to play with them. He is housebroken, crate trained, walks well on a leash, and knows various commands. Paddy loves to run around in the yard and play fetch with a ball; he will always return it to you and knows the command "drop" while sitting patiently waiting for you to throw it again. Another favorite of his is playing tug-of-war with a big rope toy. He can tear apart stuffed toys easily and quickly, so durable toys rated for "strong chewers" work best for him. Paddy will curl up in your lap if you let him, or right next to you. He knows when to settle down and relax, and he adores being with his people. He was mistreated in the past and needs to make sure he can trust new people, so he does best with soft and slow introductions. Once that trust is established, he loves you fiercely and forever! He's a smart, gentle, lovable boy waiting for his forever family. Paddy will do best in a home with a confident and kindhearted leader, and no young children.
