About ALEXI - local, in WA (Special Needs)

Adoption Fee: $300

I am Alexi. If you're in the Seattle / greater Seattle area, please keep reading! If you have a big heart and love cuddles, I could be the one for you!

I am a cute terrier mix and maybe Berger Picard (around 10kg and 3.5 years old) and if you take a look into my deep brown eyes and my large muppet ears, you might quickly fall in love. We are looking to keep me in the Seattle / North Seattle area, as I'm really bonded to my foster Mom, and would need a slow transition. Also, you could think of adopting me as possibly a part time share, my foster Mom would like to stay in my life, help out and dog sit, if that would be okay with you. Feel free to reach out for more information if you're truly interested, and you can chat with my current Mama. You can contact us through this rescue group or even send my foster Mom a message on my Instagram account - info below.

I was found by some kind people in an abandoned building, paralyzed in all four of my limbs. - Trust me, I'm a survivor!

The good news - I am now in a loving foster home, just North of Seattle, and have had an MRI. My c5-c6 is injured, which has caused paralysis in my four limbs. My foster mama has done a tremendous amount of work with me to make me stronger.  At this point I can not sit, stand or walk by myself and my bladder gets expressed about 4 times a day. I don't wear diapers, and I have a normal 2x daily bowel movement.

I'm one of the few paralyzed dogs that doesn't need to wear diapers! Since the time I've been in foster care, my whole body has become stronger. Six months after I arrived here, my back legs started to "wake up," it was amazing! I now go on daily walks / tows in my cart (see my videos, or check out my IG account).

Once my cart starts to get pulled in a forward motion, my rear legs follow (most days, though I do have stubborn days too). Currently I walk 1/4-1/2 a mile daily, sometimes more! I can't steer very well, because of my injury I tend to go left quite often. I move my front shoulders, but my front paws haven't woke up. My days consist of cart walks, park visits, exercises, cuddles and snoozing. Once I get my walk, I'm usually ready for cuddles and a nap. I LOVE to take naps with my human.

You may follow along my adventures here, which I now share with my foster sibling who was also rescued from this organization: https://www.instagram.com/rescuedgypsy/

People have started a go fund me page.  http://www.gofundme.com/help-alexi

I also now have an Amazon.com wish list of my very own! https://amzn.to/2I3kT9v

I always so excited to go outside, and enjoy the fresh air! Sometimes that is in my cart, or my special backpack. Every time my human comes to give me love I do the wiggles and sometimes I sing to her.

I know it will take a special person to give me a forever home, but I believe this world is full of special people. I already found one of them and she's my foster mom. If dreams come true, my next special person is reading this right now and lives close to my foster family!

I'd love a family who has a nice doggy friend for me, and someone who is home often. I like to be around my humans, in the same room, and outside on adventures. My forever human should be physically fit and will continue my care.

If you live near me, my current Mama will go through my routines with you, including my favorite places to visit.

I live with two cats, sometimes I'm not bothered by them, but sometimes I growl and bark (can you blame me, I am part terrier). I'd prefer a home without small children, and any older children need to be kind, gentle and patient.

Once I know you, and you sit and give me treats for a couple of minutes I earn your trust. When I'm out on my walks in my cart, I very rarely bark, though I will do a high pitch happy bark when I see a dog that peeks my interest!

I would thrive to be in a home with another gentle and playful dog. Having another loving dog around really has helped my motivation and my happiness. I am also not neutered and need to stay that way. I need my hormones to help me get stronger.

I know it will take a special person to give me a forever home, but I believe you are out there somewhere and when we find each other both our lives will grow bigger with love.

Due to current travel restrictions related to Covid19 there may be a delay before I can get to you. Please only apply for me if you are prepared to wait.   Hello all, Blossom is my name and although I am currently in Shanghai I would just love to come and live in beautiful B.C or wonderful Washington. Something tells me I would have a wonderful life there with you. My pointy ears combined with my short legs and longer body suggest I might be a rat terrier/corgi mix, but really, what matters most is that I am a sweet natured dog who would soak up your love and and give you back twice as much. I am approximately a year and a half old, weigh 15lb and I'm 14 inches tall.  They brought me to this shelter after I was found as a stray on the city streets and I have spent much of my short life in this place.  Thankfully I have a best friend here, by the name of Elf, so I am never lonely for doggy companionship. Human comfort though, is something that is in short supply around here and we are very lucky when we get a few moments being petted or cuddled.  Since the shelter has been my home for a while I've figured out the best places to hang out so I usually take my friend Elf for a tour of my favourite corners and hidey holes. She likes to let me take the lead because she's a little less confident than I am.  We make a good team and have to say I have become quite fond of her. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ro_1vAYX7x4&feature=youtu.be I know there aren't that many of you who are looking for two dogs, but since neither of us is very big, perhaps you could consider it?  If not, then I know I would adapt to a home where I am the only dog. Or even one where I have a new canine companion.  The main thing for me is that I would have a life where I would get to bond with my very own people and I could experience all the joys associated with that. Going out for walks is something that I really miss. And the thought of cuddling up in a cushiony bed near my person just sounds too heavenly for words.  Check out this feline they introduced us to the other day. I didn't mind her hanging out with us at all, though I could tell she made Elf a little nervous: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P4Cb-qykyOM&feature=youtu.be Anyway, if you pick me I will do my absolute best to make you as happy as I will be. You may have to teach me about my new world, but I think we could have some fun doing that, don't you? I'll be here until you decide. Please do it soon though. I hear that good things are starting to happen again and I want to be part of that with you.   I am spayed, vaccinated and microchipped and my adoption fee of $550 includes my airfare to Canada. Due to current travel restrictions there may be a long delay before I can get to you. Please only apply for me if you are willing to wait. Helloo future family! My name is Bobby (Bob) and I am a striking 5 year old German Shepard-mix pup from Bahrain.  I’m a pretty handsome dude standing about 29 inches tall and weighing in at about 78 pounds. Quite a stud, dontcha think?  Despite my rugged good looks, I have a pretty shy personality. I know I know, the handsome hunk with the quiet, sweet personality… but it’s true!! My rescuers can vouch for me… I’m just a big pup who enjoys cuddles and lotsa love! I may be slightly shy when we first meet, but after a bit of time I’ll warm right up to you and we’ll be BFF’s after that! Did someone say walk? I LOVES walks!!! Walks on the grass, walks on the pavement, walks to the dog park, you name it… I LOVE IT! My rescuers say I get along great with other dogg-o’s and I even get along with kitties (check out my video… it’s the truth!). I’m still a young dog (5-years young, right!), but I’m pretty darn calm. As long as we go for walks and adventures, I will be perfectly happy to curl up on the couch right next to you for a nice long nap (zzzZZ). Being a bit of a skittish guy, I don’t like loud noises and sometimes meeting new people can be scary. Don’t worry; even though I may take some time to adjust to my new home, with some patience and lots of love… I have all the makings of a great companion!  Won’t you please give me a furever home?   I am neutered, vaccinated and microchipped and my adoption fee of $500 CAD includes my airfare to Canada. BREEZY - pending adoption

Due to current travel restrictions related to Covid19 there may be a long delay before I can get to you. Please only apply for me if you are prepared to wait.   Anyone out there interested in adding a happy-go-lucky, and active young pooch to their family? I am available and eager! My name is Breezy. I'm a two year old Saluki/Pointer/Husky mix from Bahrain, weighing 38lb and 21 inches tall. I was found lying under the hot sun in an empty field, along with my two siblings, when I was barely one week old. We had been abandoned and there was no sign of our mother anywhere. The people who discovered us took us home and hand-fed us. We have lived in the outside courtyard of their house ever since.  Now it's time for me to move on and find a proper home where I can really get to enjoy everything life has to offer.  I am the kind of dog who loves everyone I meet. After an initial shyness I will soon be on my back presenting you with the gift of my belly. It seems to me that this is one of the many pleasures that humans and dogs share; you like to stroke dog-tummies and I love to have mine stroked. It's a win-win! Don't be surprised if I nudge your hand toward me when you stop petting me. I just looooove any kind of attention and will do my best to make sure it doesn't end too soon. Although I have never lived inside a house, one of my favourite places to lounge is on the outdoor sofa next to someone willing to pet me endlessly. Ah, heaven! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=61n_4zvlHPU&feature=youtu.be If you're looking for a dog with plenty of energy who will enjoy going for long walks with you, I'm your girl.  After spending so much time living in a courtyard, I don't think I'm cut out to be an apartment dog, so I do hope you have at little outdoor space where I could occasionally chill.  I'm also a big fan of playing in water; the beach, the kiddie pool, wherever I have the chance, I won't hesitate to get in there. Maybe you live near a lake or a beach and you and I could take a walk there together? Even go for a swim? Since I am quite food motivated it's relatively easy to teach me things. So far I have learned sit, down and paw. I bet you have a few other things you'd like me to do. Bring it on; I want to please you. While I haven't yet met a lot of dogs other than my siblings, my carers are starting to socialize me more in preparation for my future with you. I tend to be a bit timid when I first meet strange dogs, but once I'm comfortable I like to play rough. So, if you have another dog who has a similar play style, that would probably be the best match.  Cats and birds are not creatures I could share a home with though, as I tend to chase them.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XYw5yf3OSTc&feature=youtu.be If I could find my very own human family, it would be a dream come true. Even though I am already a happy dog, that would just be the best thing ever!   I am spayed, vaccinated and microchipped and my adoption fee of $550 includes my airfare to Canada. Due to current travel restrictions related to Covid19 there may be a delay before I can get to you. Please only apply for me if you are prepared to wait.   Hug me, touch me, play with me.  That's what I am saying with my whole-body-wiggle when I see you. Because I love you all! My name is Buttercup. I'm a 10 month old Jindo mix pup from S.Korea. I am 17 inches tall and weigh 22 pounds. You will have noticed that I am missing an eye. It is thought that I was hit by a car because when I was found on the streets my right ear was injured and my eye was prolapsed. You can only imagine the pain and fear I felt at the time. That was back in February and I feel fine and dandy now.  They had to surgically remove my eye as it couldn't be saved. My ear has healed and there is no lasting impact on my hearing.  But let's talk about my personality because isn't that the most important thing, after all? I am a cheerful dog who loves to be touched. You can see how affectionate I am, even to strangers: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jsl4L9jHK40&list=PL3UlJJYID8eFbMtRlOVnekLpQ7NYWiCFF When I meet children I am gentle and affectionate. If they let me I will give them lots of little puppy kisses. My tail just never stops wagging, whether I'm saying hello to big dogs or small ones; I'm happy to meet them all. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e7gqYEI6_L4&list=PL3UlJJYID8eFbMtRlOVnekLpQ7NYWiCFF&index=3 And here I am with my tail still going a-mile-a-minute during this cat introduction: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OrgxEw-8Oc8&list=PL3UlJJYID8eFbMtRlOVnekLpQ7NYWiCFF&index=6 You get the picture - I'm a happy dog who is full of life and love. Speaking of which, I just loooove my toys. Balls, squishy, squeaky things and chewy toys are just so much fun.  And going for sniffy walks is another thing I really like. Just trotting along checking out all those facinating scents is a heavenly way to spend some time, don't you think? I gotta say, life is so much fun. I bet if I came to live with you every day would be filled with belly rubs and squeaky toys. Am I right?   I am spayed, vaccinated and microchipped and my adoption fee of $600 includes my airfare to Canada. Due to current travel restrictions there may be a long delay before I can get to you. Please only apply for me if you are willing to wait. Hiya! I’m Buttons, a beautiful Chihuahua-mix pup, fresh off the streets of Mexico. I am almost 3 months old and weigh just under 5 pounds right now, I’m so teeny and cute! My rescuers are pretty darn sure that I will remain a small girl, even once I’m fully grown.   I was rescued off the streets of Chapala, a town in Jalisco, Mexico. Me and my bro, Beau, were all alone out there. Thank goodness we were rescued!! We are now safe and sound at a shelter in Mexico. I am a healthy pup and am soooo ready to start my exciting life, hopefully with you! My rescuers say that I am curious, adventurous, and full of typical puppy energy! I get along well with all the other dogs at the shelter, but I especially adore my fave rescue friend, Marley, who is medium-sized. I could easily live in a home with another doggy friend if you have one. I have never met a human that I didn’t like, and boy do I LOVEEE to be cuddled. Do you like to cuddle? I’m your gal! I’d love nothing more than the chance to move to Canada and live with my own humans. I hear the Pacific North West is so pretty (just like me, hehe) and full of trails to walk and dog parks to play in. Think you could be my furever friend? Please give me a home, I’m waiting! My spay is mandatory for my adoption to be finalized. LALDR does not cover the cost of sterilization on dogs arriving under 8 months of age. I have been vaccinated with all my puppy shots. My adoption fee of $600 includes my airfare to Canada.   Disclaimer: It is important for all applicants to visit our website,  http://www.lovedatlastdogrescue.ca/adopting/  and to read about Loved at Last Dog Rescue.  Information included in the profile is provided to us from the international rescuer or local fosters. Due to current travel restrictions there may be a long delay before I can get to you. Please only apply for me if you are willing to wait. Hiya! My name is Caity and I currently live in a shelter in Bahrain. I am a beautiful 2 year old, pittie/lab mix. Standing about 25 inches tall, I am 60 pounds of pure gentleness! I am incredibly friendly and LOVE people. I was rescued from a cruel person who used me as a bait dog in a dog-fighting business. It's unbearable to think about, I know. I still have some scars on my body from that time, but it's something I don't think about any more. All I think about is finding a home to call my own! I have been at the Shelter for so long now and it makes me sad. I know my "pittie" breed can scare some people off, but I SWEAR I am such a sweetie! I wouldn't hurt a fly.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3RC4LPo572A&feature=youtu.be Despite everything I have been through, I am one incredibly friendly pup! Everyone I meet gets a wagging tail and a sloppy kiss. And if you let me cuddle up to you I will be the happiest girl in the world - I LOVE cuddles!  I get along well with other dogs (see how I wag my tail in my video), however sometimes I can be a bit shy. I don't have an aggressive bone in my adorable body, so I tend to be submissive with other dogs. I won't lie, I'd love to have a human allllll to myself, but if you have a sweet dog in your home already, I would be more than happy to share you with him or her! I will confess... I have chased a few cats in my time... so I probably should go to a kitty-free home. Oooh did I mention I'm pretty smart?! What me come when I'm called in my video! I'm a moderately active young girl who loves to go for walks! I can also totally chill out on the couch with you (remember, I love cuddles!!). I would love a yard to run around in, but a local dog park would suffice as well. Can't you tell, I'm pretty darn laid back. All I want is someone who can love me unconditionally for the rest of my doggy life. I'd love it if that included yummy treats, adventures, walks, and belly rubs! Can you picture the two of us taking lovely walks together side by side? I can! If you were to pick me from all the dogs on this site, I would think I'd died and gone to doggy heaven. Please make my dream come true! You won't regret it; I'll repay you with doggy kisses of gratitude forever!   I am spayed, vaccinated and microchipped and my adoption fee of $550 includes my airfare to Canada. Due to current travel restrictions related to Covid19 there may be a long delay before I can get to you. Please only apply for me if you are prepared to wait.   Hi everyone, Charlotte here.  I feel like I must be dreaming, but it seems I really do have a chance at finding a home. I am a one year old Jindo mix from South Korea, weighing 26lb and 17 inches tall. Until recently I had only known life at the end of a short chain. My rescue occurred after a villager complained that there were many strays on his property. The firefighters came out to round up the strays and when they followed the dogs they came across me and another female chained up behind some buildings.  Our ten puppies were close by, many of them in small cages.    It turned out that our owner had been in hospital for some time so we had been without food, water or any kind of attention for far too long and were in a sorry state. When they were asked about us, the owners family told the firefighters to kill us all! Thankfully that didn't happen and we were instead taken to a private rescue facility. That's where I am now while I wait for you to send for me. Despite that experience I am a bright and lively dog who adores being around people. I am the kind of dog who will approach every stranger with a wagging tail in the hope that I get a scratch or a stroke or a few kind words. If there are children around, that's even better; I love them and will be gentle and patient while they touch me.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZvWmGV0uTaI&list=PL3UlJJYID8eGQ_AW6sqGPkc6FpFPxCdCT&index=7 I really am all about people so when it comes to other dogs I tend to be indifferent.  They are perfectly fine, but I just don't find them nearly as interesting as humans.  To be honest, I show more curiosity when I meet cats. If they would play with me, that would be cool, but I won't be offended if they tell me to get lost either. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eepCaLCLxt0&list=PL3UlJJYID8eGQ_AW6sqGPkc6FpFPxCdCT&index=5 Being outdoors is my preference whenever possible. And being outdoors with people is the ultimate. It would be awesome if I could find a home with someone who loved to go for hikes exploring the natural world with their best friend (me!) by their side.  Or we could just play tug-o-war together; I like that too!  Since I'm quite motivated by food you would probably find me easy to train. And because I am so eager to please you I will give you all my attention.  So what do you say? Can we start sharing this wonderful life together?  I'll be waiting to hear from you.   I am spayed, vaccinated and microchipped and my adoption fee of $550 includes my airfare to Canada. Due to current travel restrictions there may be a long delay before I can get to you. Please only apply for me if you are willing to wait. This is NOT a dog belonging to LALDR. This is a courtesy posting. Please do not contact us, as we know nothing about the dog. For more information, please contact: woofywishes@gmail.com Chiko is very smart, handsome, affectionate and an amazing boy. He will make an absolutely wonderful addition to any family. He is 2.5 years old, a neutered male, Anatolian Shepherd mix. He is very social and loves the company of people of all kind and dogs. He is not cat tested, but since he has such an amazing temperament, with patience and proper introductions, he will be ok. He is crate trained. House-training is work in progress, and he may have a couple of accidents at first but he is so eager to please his master that he will be fully house-trained in matter of few days. He is not a barker nor flight risk, and he is good on leash.  History: Chiko was a stray dog and he was rescued after being hit by a car. He had several broken bones including a broken pelvis. He went through 3 procedures and he has made full recovery. He runs and jumps with no issues, but sometimes has a limp in his hind legs when he is running.  Chiko is healthy, vaccines are up-to-date, and micro-chipped.   You can see a couple of videos of Chiko in his Instagram post: https://www.instagram.com/p/B6wTTHthzuS/   If you are interested in Chiko, please contact woofywishes@gmail.com. show less

Chixxy (Alyssa) Breed: Anatolian Shepard / Spanish Greyhound (Galgo) Age: 1 yr Gender: fe, spayed Wgt/Hgt: 72 lbs / 32-1/2 inches Energy level: moderate to moderate-high Relations: good with dogs / unknown cats, kids Highlights: sweet natured, bit shy Region: Middle East I have a very sweet nature, though I can be a bit shy until I get to know you. After that, I am a lover. My mother was getting pregnant way too often on the streets here in the Middle East. Our rescuer caught her with me and my litter mates when we were about 2-3 months old. My brother Blaise is also listed on here. We were put into foster homes until we were older. Now we are ready to live in Canadian homes. I am a very loveable pup, smart and a fast learner. I get along with other dogs, so a buddy in the home is fine. Kitty cats and kids are not ones I have been around though. An energetic to moderately active home would be right up my alley. Having my own doggie bed would be so nice, but of course if you let me, I would be cuddled up with you in your bed too. Are the dog parks as fun as I hear? I sure hope so.   I have been spayed/neutered, *vaccinated & micro-chipped.  My adoption fee is $550.00 CAD, this includes my airfare to Canada.   Disclaimer: It is important for all applicants to visit our website, http://www.lovedatlastdogrescue.ca/adopting/ and read about Loved at Last Dog Rescue. Information included in the profile is provided to us from the international rescuer or local fosters. LALDR does not have access to overseas dogs and cannot always verify the accuracy of their descriptions. Every dog is an individual and can act differently in different situations based on the person adopting them and the environment in which they live. The age and breed of a dog is usually an educated guess, so we are not able to guarantee the accuracy of age or breed of our dogs. Normally, we will not approve adoptions to homes with children under 12 years of age. More information can be found on our website. *Vaccinations: Dogs from the Middle East are vaccinated for rabies, parvo, distemper, leptospirosis, adenovirus type 1 and para-influenza. Bordatella is not given, as that has not been a problem in the Middle East.  show less

CHOWDER (Chacha) Breed: Lab/Shepard Age: 2 yrs Gender: fe, spayed Wgt/Hgt: 65 lbs / 21-1/2 inches Energy level: moderate Relations: good with dogs/unknown kids/likely ok with cats, lived with some before Highlights: sweet, somewhat shy, house trained, good on leash, likes toys Region: Middle East A sweet, yet shy at first girl, I hope you are looking for a beautiful & scrumptious girl like me. I mean, who can resist a good chowder, right? Found as a puppy about a month old, I had a lot of skin issues and a problem with my paw. When the rescuer had me checked, they found I had an break in that leg. They did surgery, along with medicating my skin and now I am back to full health. I tend to be a pretty calm, though a bit afraid in the beginning. I really like treats and stuffy toys, so you can bet you would start a good relationship with me by giving me little yummies. Kitties are probably fine, as I was living with some for a couple months in the past. Another dog buddy is A-ok too. Don't know a thing about those really short, young humans though. I am good on a leash and also house trained... SCORE! Bet that is a load off your mind. Oh, and I really like to take walks. I hear there are plenty of places to do that in the Pacific Northwest. So, whaddya say? How 'bout we get together and start a beautiful relationship together? Just say the word and I'm ready to flap my ears to wing my way to you. Ok... well, I will have to take a plane, but I'll get there. I have been spayed/neutered, *vaccinated & micro-chipped. My adoption fee is $550.00 CAD, this includes my airfare to Canada. Name: Cobalt (Abi) Breed: Husky Age: 2 yrs Gender: Male, neutered Wgt/Hgt: 88 lbs / 29.5 inches Activity level: high energy Relations: good dogs / okay with cats Highlights: friendly, lively, athletic, energetic, loves people Region: Middle East Okay, wait for it… I know you can feel it already, the magnetism. Yeah, I know cobalt is a color (and my eyes are pretty similar to it), but that’s not the only reason why I’m called that (Abi means Blue in my native language). As I’m sure you know, cobalt is an eye-catching metal and its magnetic properties make it more special. Well, that description also suits me. I’m an eye-catching guy with tons of energy to move around collecting magnetic moments as I take a walk with my soon-to-be favorite person in the world.  I’m originally from the Middle East, but now I’d like to think of myself as a Canadian in training. However, I do have some history here where I’m currently waiting to be taken to my forever home abroad. While I was wandering around my rescuer’s place, some of my now dog friends alerted her of my presence. It was clear to her that I was lost. I was wearing a collar and it didn’t seem like I was an actual stray. I looked way too comfortable being around them (even joined a great barking moment) and I was way too trusting and gentle to have had a hard life on the streets for long.  After I was brought to the back yard, my rescuer took a closer look at me. I was definitely tired, my legs were sore and my fur was a mess. She decided to feed me (Oh, man, was I hungry!) and since I didn’t leave, she concluded I must’ve had a family before. The theory is that I might’ve accidentally lost my way. Because of that, my rescuer started a search for my family through in different neighborhoods almost a year ago. But I guess, if I did have a family before, they must’ve forgotten about me. Nobody with sound evidence of ownership ever showed, so we decided that it was time for me to look for a loving home. You must know that, just like the metal, I’m vibrant. I’m a lively guy who loves going outdoors. It’s my favorite place to be; whether it’s playing or running or just hanging out, I’m my happiest when I’m outside.  I’m quite energetic. Some might say that I’m somehow hyperactive, so living with someone who enjoys the athletic lifestyle would be perfect. And if there’s a garden to work out in, we can even be training partners! Although I’m not yet leash trained (so you’ll have to take me out with all the precautions at first), I’m sure I’ll be able to learn how it’s done pretty fast. I’m a smart boy too.  My social skills are also quite developed. I get along with other dogs, big and small (as long as they’re not bullies.) Some odd creatures like chickens and cats get me pretty hyped up though. They’re a little weird, man, what can I say? It’s exciting when they’re around. So that’s me, Cobalt, the magnetic athlete. If you want to experience what it's like to exude magnetic energy all the time, just click on the adopt button right away. I’ll make sure to pass on all my secrets to make your life the perfect combination of love and enthusiasm. I’m sure I’ll fit right into your life and I’ll bring tons of joy and excitement to it from the very start. You only have to click and let my blue eyes charm you!  I have been spayed/neutered, *vaccinated & micro-chipped.  My adoption fee is $550.00 CAD, this includes my airfare to Canada. Due to current travel restrictions related to Covid19 there may be a long delay before I can get to you. Please only apply for me if you are prepared to wait.   My name is Cowboy and I'm a handsome mix of Jindo and Great Pyrenees. I am a year old, weigh 55lb and measure 25 inches. I was found as a stray and taken to a high kill shelter. Since big dogs like me are not popular here in S.Korea, I was soon put on the euthanasia list. Just in time someone from another rescue group saved me.  When I first came to the shelter I was tested and found to be heartworm postitive. Fortunately it was only stage 2, so I was treated and cleared on April 25, 2020. Now I'm ready for a new life with my forever family. I am a calm dog who is a little shy with strangers at first meeting, but soon relaxes after a little petting and kind words. Here I am meeting a stranger: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UkhXYa0Ax3U&list=PL3UlJJYID8eHqxnSqn0qkzwSLFmhxJO9v and this is me gently accepting a treat from a child: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lc9n1qS5-ZY&list=PL3UlJJYID8eHqxnSqn0qkzwSLFmhxJO9v&index=2 Around bigger dogs I tend to be a little more cautious when I introduce myself, just until I know they like me, but with smaller ones I'm quickly at ease and I become quite puppy-like in my play style. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2_i7yJ4GpFA&list=PL3UlJJYID8eHqxnSqn0qkzwSLFmhxJO9v&index=3 Though I really don't see the attraction, I accept that some of you humans seem to enjoy living with cats. Personally I find them a little intimidating and I'll avoid them if I can. If living with you means sharing the home with a cat, then I'll just have to suck it up! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xCXzUvOCMPQ&list=PL3UlJJYID8eHqxnSqn0qkzwSLFmhxJO9v&index=6 While I am not a super high energy dog I do enjoy going for walks and will stick close by my handler as we explore. It's quite possible that I will become more energetic once I have the opportunity for longer walks and more active outdoor time.  I'd love the chance to find out. What I really want you to know is that I am a dog with the sweetest nature who is gentle with everyone and everything. I would rather drop a treat on the ground than risk offending you by grabbing it greedily.  So do you think we could be the perfect match? I hope so.     I am neutered, vaccinated and microchipped and my adoption fee of $550 includes my airfare to Canada Disclaimer: It is important for all applicants to visit our website,  http://www.lovedatlastdogrescue.ca/adopting/  and to read about Loved at Last Dog Rescue.    Information included in the profile is provided to us from the international rescuer or local fosters.
