About Audrey

Audrey is 36-pound dachshund mix who is joyous, affectionate, and spunky. This two-year-old beauty is fully house-trained, loves to cuddle, and has a full-bodied wag, with the wiggles going all the way up to her shoulders. Despite her diminutive size and short legs, she thinks she’s a guard dog. She takes this responsibility very seriously and is highly protective. Audrey would take a bullet for her foster family, but she’s terrible at understanding what actually represents a clear and present danger. On her list of things to protect you from: bicycles, joggers who veer too close to you, shrieking children, and unfamiliar dogs. She will need an experienced dog guardian who can work with her to curb this behavior. Audrey is in a home with cats and dogs right now, and went from being nervous around cats to accepting them as necessary evils. She has also warmed up to her foster dog pals and is now a good-natured, sassy friend to them, but it took a little time for her to adjust. Audrey is a special girl, and she’ll make the right person or family a fun, devoted, protective companion.

Audrey will not be attending adoption events as they make her very anxious. Private meetings can be arranged.

Adoption Fee: $350

Hi, I'm Haylie.  I'm a 6 month old lab mix.  Currently I weigh around 40 pounds and my black fur shines in the sun.  If you are looking for a very sweet energetic pup, then I might be the perfect addition to your family.   Currently I am living with my foster family.  There are a lot of playmates here and I do well with all of them.  The cats don't like me much though.  They hiss at me, just because I like to sniff at new things! My foster mom tells me "No Kitties" and then I know the sniffing needs to stop.  The kids are great.  I like it when they give me hugs and go outside with me.  My doggie foster sisters are a lot of fun.  We wrestle and play together.  I would be lonely if I didn't have anyone to play with so my forever home needs to have at least one other dog so we can play together!   I love running around outside.  My perfect home would have a nice fenced yard.  After a hard day of playing I like to curl up on the couch.  Okay, actually I like to sprawl out on the couch, causing everyone else to sit around me.  I also like to chew on rope toys and chase tennis balls.   My foster mom says I am a great house guest since I am potty trained and I hardly ever bark.  She also says I am young and energetic, but not destructive.   I can "sit" and I'm working on my leash skills.  I don't love going into my crate at night but once I'm in, I settle down quickly. Come and meet our PAW dogs at one of our weekend adoption shows at local area pet stores.  The shows run from 12 - 2 pm.  Not all our dogs attend every show so if you are interested in meeting a particular dog send an email to info@paw-rescue.org before coming to the show to arrange a visit.   show less

Paddy is an adorably handsome 3 year old American Bulldog mix and weighs 56 lbs. He is a playful and super cuddly boy with soft eyes and a happy tail that's always wagging. Paddy does great with his two canine foster siblings and loves to play with them. He is housebroken, crate trained, walks well on a leash, and knows various commands. Paddy loves to run around in the yard and play fetch with a ball; he will always return it to you and knows the command "drop" while sitting patiently waiting for you to throw it again. Another favorite of his is playing tug-of-war with a big rope toy. He can tear apart stuffed toys easily and quickly, so durable toys rated for "strong chewers" work best for him. Paddy will curl up in your lap if you let him, or right next to you. He knows when to settle down and relax, and he adores being with his people. He was mistreated in the past and needs to make sure he can trust new people, so he does best with soft and slow introductions. Once that trust is established, he loves you fiercely and forever! He's a smart, gentle, lovable boy waiting for his forever family. Paddy will do best in a home with a confident and kindhearted leader, and no young children.
