About Finn

Meet Finn, the gentle giant!  He was found as a stray in horrible condition but after a good grooming, some good meals and a safe, warm place to live, he's left that sad past behind.  He is now 62 pounds of pure love and affection wrapped in a golden doodle body, and estimated to be somewhere between 2-5 yrs old.  Finn knows all the basic commands, is house-broken and has not been crated at all at his foster home.  He's a good boy!   Like so many, he will help keep your counters clean if given the opportunity (we’re working on this!) . Once he realizes he’s getting a steady food source this shouldn’t be a problem with a little training. He loves to play fetch and chew dog toys, but don’t worry he won’t chew your household items!  He tries to engage his four-legged foster brother in play, but his fo-bro just isn't interested. As far as cats go, he hasn’t been very interested in being around them yet. Finn has plenty of fun energy but with a little love he’s willing to sit by your side and snuggle! He would like a fenced yard so he can have the opportunity to roam and play around in! He loves going to the dog park and playing fetch or being around other pups! He’s a boy with a big heart looking for his forever home!  Finn is being fostered on the west side of Indianapolis.

Hi, I'm Gallagher, but I'm not a comedian, and I don't know if I like watermelon!  I do know I'm a very sweet 9 year old Golden/Lab mix boy.  A shelter found me walking the streets of Indianapolis, and they asked GRRACE if I could be part of the GRRACE family.  I'm so happy I got GRRACE'd!   Some of my favorite things include snuggling, getting to go on walks, getting petted by everyone I meet, and exploring my environment.  I've heard my Foster Mom tell people that I'm one of the sweetest boys she's ever met!  I'm pretty calm most of the time, but I do get excited when it's time to go on a walk. I like being around other dogs I can play and hang out with, but I have some food aggression so I need to eat alone.   Also, I am current on my vaccinations, neutered, and completely house-trained.   In my forever home, I'd love to get lots of snuggle time from my family.  And I'd really like to have an older dog brother or sister that is calm like me, can go on walks with me, play with me, and cuddle with me. Just remember, I need to eat alone...I'm not a snob, just protective of my food!  I'd also like to have a fenced back yard so I feel safe and secure when I'm outside.  I haven't been around cats or human children, so I'm not sure what I think about them. If you have an approved application on file and are interested in meeting me, please contact GRRACE. show less

I’m Piper, a very petite (45 lb.) 11 month old girl with a beautiful lustrous red coat. I am spayed, micro-chipped, and current on all my vaccinations. I’m housebroken and have been a very good house dog in my foster home. I am a bit shy and have led a somewhat sheltered life. I would love to have more positive experiences just to build my confidence!  I am still working on basic commands but would benefit greatly from basic obedience training. I will flourish with each positive experience I have – I’m ready to be all that I can be!  Did I mention I am a love sponge and adore snuggling?  I am high energy when there’s room to run and enjoy chasing after birds & critters in the big yard at my foster home, but I settle beautifully once I’ve had enough exercise. I just learned that I love chasing Frisbees – I’m a Fly Girl!  Because I'm a Fly Girl, I must have a yard with a structural fence.   I do love being around my family, and being separated is hard for me. I may kick up a little fuss, but I eventually settle. My original family said I get along with other dogs and kids, but because of my energy and need for training, I would do best in a home with older children and gentle dogs. My foster family has a cat, and I haven't learned how to safely play with the cat, so cats are probably a no-no.  I must say that I don’t care too much for my crate, but my foster family thinks I don't need one because I haven't been destructive or gotten into any trouble.   I'm still a puppy so I have lots to learn, but I promise to give back every ounce of training and love invested in me!
