About Elvira

Elvira is a female, pittie/cattle dog mix (?) who is about 4 months old. She is very mild mannered - gentle, sweet, loves tennis balls, playing with kids and other dogs. She visited the local dog friendly brewery with her foster mom and did great with all the attention! Elvira knows how to go in and out the doggie door, but is still working on house training. She is not a fan of the kennel and would therefore do best with someone working from home or going to work with her people. Oh, and she would love to have another dog in the house! She has a high prey drive for rabbits so likely would not do well with cats.

Interested in meeting Elvira? She is being fostered in Colorado Springs, CO. Please complete an adoption application so that we can discuss a meet-and-greet.

ADOPT ME!! Looking for a master snuggler? Anastasia is your girl! She is a gorgeous, 2 year old, female pit mix patiently waiting to meet her forever family. Her whole bottom and tail wags when greeting new people and she loves everyone! She uses the doggie door and rides quietly in the back of the car. Like many adult rescue dogs, Anastasia would benefit from some training as she does tend to pull on the leash and jumps up when meeting new people. However, she is smart and eager to please. So, she should respond very well to training. Anastasia would thrive in a home that would provide her with structure, slow introductions to other dogs and no cats. While she is friendly with children, due to her size and overexuberance at times, she would probably do best in a home with no young children or elderly folks. Interested in meeting Anastasia to see if she might be right for you? Please apply to adopt so that we can discuss a meet and greet. She is being fostered in Colorado Springs, CO. Hi! I’m Jake and my foster mom says I’m extra special - so special, in fact, that I need a home just as special as I am. I was adopted as a baby and returned later on with some health issues. Not sure exactly why but occasionally I have seizures, and I have a pretty big heart murmur. Don’t worry though! It isn’t so scary since it’s only once and a while, and all my new mom or dad will need to do is wipe a little drool off after it’s over (embarrassing right?) As far as other things go, I’m basically the best at keeping you company. I am a little slower than a normal cat and I can’t jump on things any higher than a bed. My favorite places are laps and being the big spoon in bed, and I love talking in little trills while you get ready in the morning or cook dinner. I’m also just as loving with dogs and other cats (as you can tell from the pictures 🐈) I know it’s going to be a lot to ask for my new family to be okay with my seizures, but I know you’re out there somewhere! Kiki is a very mild-tempered happy cat. Don't let her ear fold caused scowl to hold you back from considering her. She is a sweetheart all the way. She has adjusted to feeding once a day, only throwing up once at first when she overate. But she knows she will get fed now so she is pacing herself and putting on much needed weight. Her litter box skills could use help - or a box that has higher sides but she has used it consistently since day one. She is very vocal in the morning and would do well with a morning person who could give her pets in the morning or ANY time of day. She really wants to sleep on (in) my bed but makes do with a blanket on the couch. My boyfriend calls her an aggressive cuddler cuz she will follow you around, rubbing against your legs and when you sit, push her head into your hands to get pets. There she purrs and falls asleep happy. She will let you pet any part of her without hissing or getting mad, even rolling on her back to get her belly rubbed. I think she would be good with kids, because she can take a little person handling. Hi this is Louie. Louie is a sweet, goofy and shy 6 month old puppy who loves to wrestle and play with his brother. He loves to play outside and run with the bigger dogs in the pack. Though he is shy with positive encouragement and support he gains more and more confidence. I think sometimes he would love to be a big lap dog, but then other times he is all about having fun and be where the action is. Loves to play outside and bask in the sun. It would be great if he could be adopted with his brother Marty because they are fast friends. Marty is the more confident of the two and that is good for Louie. If he can't be adopted with this brother it would be best for there to be an older dog for Louie or some children siblings to help him continue to gain confidence. He is vocal and I swear he talks back to me sometimes. He would not be a good apartment dog. Would love for him to find an active family with a yard who would work with him to gain more confidence. He loves being close to his people and pack and is a sweet cuddle bug. He is neutered and up to date on shots. If interested in making Louie a part of your family please fill out an application at www.rezdawgrescue.org. Louie is currently being fostered in Elizabeth, CO. Lucy was born December of 2017 in New Mexico. This beautiful shepherd mix grew up quickly, as she became a mother at one year of age. After traveling with her pups to her Grand Junction, Colorado foster home on 12/28/18, Lucy was finally able to take a deep breath and reconnect with her inner puppy. Lucy is a sweetheart who loves to cuddle. While generally calm and mellow indoors, Lucy is an active, playful girl who would do best with someone who will provide her with daily exercise. She will surely make a patient athletic owner’s best friend, as she loves to display her graceful stride while playing outdoors. Lucy is an astute learner and knows sit, stay, and touch; she would love to gain even more training to please her human companions. She is house and crate trained, gets along well with other dogs and doesn't seem to show any interest in cats. Interested in setting up a meet-and-greet? Please apply to adopt so that we can see if she’s a good fit for your family. Please note: Lucy is being fostered in Grand Junction, CO. She is scheduled to be spayed 1/22/19. She is available for pre-adopt until she has recovered from her surgery. Lucy's puppies, Lewis and Rosie are also available for adoption. This is Marty! Marty is a fun loving, sweet playful 6 month old puppy who loves to wrestle with his brother and his older foster sisters. He is good with other dogs, both large and small. He is outgoing but cautious upon first meeting of new people and animals. He is very smart and loves to be with his pack or his people. He would do great with kids. It would be great if Marty and his brother Louie could be adopted together, as they love to play and sleep together and Marty's confidence rubs off on Louie who is more hesitant with new activities and new people. But if not, it would be great if there was an older dog at home to play with and provide friendship during the day. He would love a yard as he loves to run and bask in the sun. He loves to chase a ball and run with the big dogs. He is treat motivated and learning commands such as sit, stay, touch, and is potty trained. If we had a doggy door I am pretty sure he would learn to use it quickly. He is up to date on shots, neutered and chipped and ready for his own active forever family. If you think that Marty might be a good fit for your family please complete an adoption application at www.Rezdawgrescue.org. Marty is being fostered in Elizabeth, CO. "I’m looking for a hooman who loves to stay close to me -- whether you’re watching a movie, taking a nap, or reading a book -- I just love to snuggle up tight and doze off while you pet my belly. Oh, those belly scratches are my new favorite after being rescued from New Mexico and moving to Colorado with my foster parents. I’m Marvin, and I’m looking for the purfect furever home where I can chase the right sunspots to nap in, take long walks, catch any falling food scraps while you cook, and say hi to everyone to show them that pit bulls aren’t mean or aggressive. In fact, I am such a softy, that when I was found, I was hanging out with my middle schooler frens waiting for them to share their PB&Js with me. I’m white all over but have very subtle polka dots. I like to pretends I is a pyrite cuz I has a brown and black patch over my one eye. My foster mam says that it makes me look stoic and handsome. She is also jelly that my eyeliner is better than hers. I am learning the crate and like to sleep there all night long and while my foster parents go out on errands, but when they come home, I can’t help but thump my tail in any way it can and wiggle my butt to get more pets. I get along great with my foster parent’s dogos, I think one even has a crush on me. We like to play chase and zoom around the back yard until we can’t anymore. My foster brother says that I get more food in my bowl than him, but my foster mam says that’s because I’m too skinny so we are working on me gaining some weight. I have no problem on a leash or in the car. I see the doctor soon for what my foster brother calls “a rights of pawsauage” but what I see on Twitter, it’s called being neutered. After that, I will be ready to be adopteded. If you’d like to meet me, see how gentle my kisses are, and maybe, um.. Play fetch with my fuverites tois, my foster purents would love to organeyes a play dates." BONDED PAIR! Hi, my name is Midnight and am like the black panther of the night. Some people may call me shy, but really I am stealthy and trying to see what kind of trouble I can get into! I would love to live in my forever home with my brother, Pat as we are pretty bonded and love to wrestle and snuggle. I am usually underfoot, but I do like my independance to sleep during the day. We are hoping to be adopted into a house with some other animals, as we are big love bugs and love to snuggle with them. After dinner is usually my fun time, of chasing other cats that are waaaay bigger than me and finding random "toys" to play with. I enjoy sleeping with my foster humans at the end of the bed and will purr up a storm if I am in the mood. I would do well with older kids, kitties and well behaved dogs. Please help us find a patient house so we can blossom and show everyone what great boys we are.
