Hi! I’m Jake and my foster mom says I’m extra special - so special, in fact, that I need a home just as special as I am. I was adopted as a baby and returned later on with some health issues. Not sure exactly why but occasionally I have seizures, and I have a pretty big heart murmur. Don’t worry though! It isn’t so scary since it’s only once and a while, and all my new mom or dad will need to do is wipe a little drool off after it’s over (embarrassing right?) As far as other things go, I’m basically the best at keeping you company. I am a little slower than a normal cat and I can’t jump on things any higher than a bed. My favorite places are laps and being the big spoon in bed, and I love talking in little trills while you get ready in the morning or cook dinner. I’m also just as loving with dogs and other cats (as you can tell from the pictures 🐈) I know it’s going to be a lot to ask for my new family to be okay with my seizures, but I know you’re out there somewhere! Our adoption fees cover transport from a reservation or high-intake shelter, vaccinations, deworming, food, alteration, any needed treatments and microchipping for identification. Hi this is Louie. Louie is a sweet, goofy and shy 6 month old puppy who loves to wrestle and play with his brother. He loves to play outside and run with the bigger dogs in the pack. Though he is shy with positive encouragement and support he gains more and more confidence. I think sometimes he would love to be a big lap dog, but then other times he is all about having fun and be where the action is. Loves to play outside and bask in the sun. Louie would do best with an older dog to help him continue to gain confidence. He can be vocal so would do best in a home vs. an apartment. Would love for him to find an active person or family with a yard who would work with him to gain more confidence. He loves being close to his people and pack and is a sweet cuddle bug. He is neutered and up to date on shots. If interested in making Louie a part of your family please complete an application at www.rezdawgrescue.org. Louie is currently being fostered in Elizabeth, CO. Our adoption fees cover transport from a reservation or high-intake shelter, vaccinations, deworming, food, alteration, any needed treatments and microchipping for identification. Hi! My name is Marvin. I am a one-year-old pit/lab mix weighing about 50 pounds. I love to snuggle, take multiple naps a day, give kisses, stay close to my humans, and romp around with other dogs at the dog park, but not if they’re a dominant male type. I was rescued from New Mexico and have been loving the Colorado life. I love to take walks, run around a fenced area, and learn new tricks. Right now, I’m a very good sitter. I would love to go to an active household, but think I’m too big and energetic for an apartment. I live right now with three dogs, all of which I get along with. I don’t do great with dogs who are dominant or territorial, so I think a home with submissive siblings would be best. If you’d like to meet me, please schedule a meet and greet today! I am up-to-date on my shots and have been neutered. So when I find the right match, I am ready to be in my forever home! Hope to meet you soon and give you one of my super gentle kisses. Mayday is the sweetest, most loveable kittie out there! He has a purr button that doesn't stop! Mayday avoids conflict, as a matter of fact, he a lover, not a fighter. He even takes care of the small dogs he lives with and they are excited when they see him. Mayday loves to run and play and eat but he has a problem we haven't been able to solve for him. He sneezes. A LOT! He is that stuffed up kid on the playground, sometimes his eyes get puffy and he has a hard time breathing and other days, he is fine. He had a $2,400.00 (yes, two thousand...) scope performed at VRCC to see if he had a polyp and the vet, sadly, found nothing but tender tissue and cleaned his nasal cavity. (that was an expensive nose cleanse especially for a rescue). I am going to try some old fashioned Benadryl and see if that helps him. In the meantime, Mayday is happy hanging out in his foster home, seeing other fosters come and go, but he would like a forever home of his own even though he is sort of a mascot to them. If you would like to know more about this beautiful, sweet boy please let us know! RezDawg's adoption fees cover rescue and transportation costs, spay/neuter, microchip, deworming, up-to-date vaccinations and additional medical services as needed. You save a bundle of money by adopting from a non-profit—and even more importantly, you allow RezDawg to save another animal from being euthanized. Are you looking for a small, housetrained, crate-trained, and very loyal and playful pint-sized adult dog? Panda may be your new furever buddy! About six years old and 15 pounds, unfortunately, Panda recently lost her former people. But she's ready to start over with a new family... one who will include her in their daily lives, take her on walkies, scratch her belly, and most importantly, throw the tennis ball for her. She is a lot of fun and very attentive. Panda currently lives with three much-larger dogs at her foster home and gets along great with them; she is not appropriate for a home with cats, though. Panda will be spayed on microchipped on March 28th and will be recovered and ready to go home to her forever home about a week after. Here's a video of Panda happily retrieving a tennis ball, on her very first day with her foster person after transport from NM! https://youtu.be/_d-wbAaG4gE And here's Panda initiating play (the video doesn't capture most of the play session, unfortunately) with her foster big brother, Jeff: https://youtu.be/YN2HakN5Js8 Be sure to follow RezDawg Rescue on Facebook and Instagram! Pearl

Pearl is a courageous, 5lb. survivor of abuse who's required extra time with her foster family to overcome medical issues and extreme fear. She spent 2 months recovering from bordetella and a nasty flea infestation and the last 3 months learning to engage more confidently in daily household activities. She's progressed to accepting treats politely -- even sitting when asked sometimes! -- instead of snatching them and running to hide, relaxing into gentle neck and back massages and waiting her turn to be fed. She lives with a foster pack of 2 older male chis and an elderly female cattle dog. They have helped her gain confidence in various doggie activities new to her, but due to her fearful background, she keeps them at a physical and emotional distance, growling and snapping if they enter her "bubble" of space. Therefore, for everyone's peace of mind, she would do best in a quiet household where she is the only dog. She's afraid of strangers. Visitors, even regular ones, must be patient because it takes time for her to warm up to them, and the acquaintance process can't be rushed. Humans need to have enough patience to follow her lead. Her tolerance of cats and other types of pets is unknown. An important note about children: she should not be around them at any time. Their quick movements and high energy and just too overwhelming and scary to her. As her fear retreats, her playfulness has increased. Sometimes, she gets the morning zoomies or wrestles with a stray sock whe her people are starting their day. Occasionally, she'll pull a floppy toy out of the toy basket, shake it, toss it and growl delightedly. She does have an inordinate fear of squeaky toys and will quickly disappear if she hears the noise, but socks and floppy toys are very fun! She thoroughly enjoys car rides, especially if she can sit in a booster seat to see out the windows. She'll slip out the house door to prance around a car outside or in a garage, even if it's cold, if she knows her people are leaving. Her fave activity in the whole world is snuggling any time of day or night. The physical contact helps her feel secure. She'll gaze at her people adoringly and is an excellent listener, accepting everything said with deep interest and no judgment. She's always on her people's team! At night, she likes to be bundled in her crate full of warm, soft, comfy blankies. If she has a night terror or sometimes even if she doesn't, she may ask to get in bed with her people. There, she sleeps without moving in the crook of a knee or touching a warm back. She is housetrained, but hasn't learned to ask to go out, so it's best if she stays on a regular schedule for potty breaks. She would prefer not to go outside when it's freezy, but she will if placed outside the door and told to "go pee." If it's absolutely frigid outside or she must be at home alone for more than a couple of hours, she's very good about using pee pads where ever they're placed. She does exhibit some separation anxiety, vocalizing her dismay, when one of her people leaves, but can be distracted with snuggles, so it's not a serious issue. If you have experience with chihuahuas and you're willing to help continue Pearl's recovery while dealing patiently with her eccentricities, you'll be rewarded with intense and lifelong love and loyalty.
