Alice was one of Millie's pups, who arrived earlier this year. She does not do well with smaller dogs. She is very active and lively, and loves to play. She does very well with her current foster's other dogs and has no issues with cats. No small dogs, though, as she was bullied by small dogs as a pup and doesn't like them. Alice would love an active person or family - a runner or jogger or a very active family that walks regularly. She also loves to cuddle and loves it when her foster mom picks her up for a standing hug! Fetch is her favorite game, she will fetch with anything! A fenced yard is also a must. Alice has had quite a bit of training and knows sit, down, off, leave it, bed (for her kennel) and "touch" to meet new people because she has a little stranger danger, but does well when they wait for her to touch them as an intro. Her recall is on point, you just have to call her name and she comes running! Alice walks great on a gentle leader. Foster mom uses a weighted backpack for walking or empty if she is going running or biking. Alice knows shes going somewhere when the backpack comes out and you can see her excitement! Her loose leash walking great, making her a great partner for a runner or jogger. Apply for this sweet girl now!

Bridgette has been around small children from newborn to 9 years old, and enjoys calling the a child's room her own. If she isn’t inside sprawled out relaxing on the couches, she enjoys playing fetch and soccer with kids, and the occasional run. She is fully house and crate trained and enjoys keeping an eye on things while her family is away for the day. She does have a fairly protective side to herself ensuring anyone who enters our yard knows she is there and is always keeping an eye on her family's kids. During her recent outing to Pet Supplies Plus, she was chill and had no trouble relaxing or asking for attention. She greeted hoomans and doggos alike without incident. She belongs in a home of her own where she can be a lap dog (shhh, she doesn't know she's too big). She does well with her larger dog brother, but she does not have a tolerance for smaller dogs, cats or rabbits.

Carolina Hope is a higher energy young lady. She has proven to be good in her foster home with other dogs, cats and children. Hope is workingon her impulse control when overexcited. She needs a little brush up on her manners. Her foster mom says she has never seen a dog that loves people so very much. Hope would do best with kids over 7 due to her energy level. She needs an active family that likes to go for walks/runs or has a yard to run and play in. She has already had her surgery, which is included in her $250 adoption fee. Please check out this active, beautiful girl!

Dahhling, why on earth am I the longest foster resident at FHR? I was found pregnant, wandering as a stray. These lovely people took me in and found fabulous homes for my darlin's! I was a bit standoffish, at first, but with some TLC from the fosters, and proper charming social introductions, I'm a regular playful lady! I love long walks on the beach, which better include some splashin, y'hear? My foster momma has several dogs who I relish playing with (and I'll eat the relish too, if you let me!) - I just can hardly stand to wait for my people to find me! I do get a bit overstimulated when there are very unfamiliar surroundings, so you must understand how to let me get my bearings. My training staff have been mahvalous. I'm already spayed, so no more babies for me! I'm ready to be yours today - just inquire and apply! My $200 adoption fee includes all the training, vetting, and adoration I have embraced from these fine lovely people!

His breed says "boxer mix" but he's really a hound...ATTENTION HOUND! Meet Kevin! This boy is amazingly energetic and willing to learn. He is working on sit stay for food and he's getting there but not quite. Not a single accident in the house (Yay!). Crate trained, so he spends unattended hours in the crate during the day. He has shown a little guarding of bowls, but his foster dad is diligently working on that! He is willing to please and treat motivated. Spends his out of crate time curled at foster dad's feet when not playing. He is available to interview approved adopters at any time. His adoption fee is $250.

Ruby was originally known as "Sierra," and we wanted to rename her because of the jewel she is. We believe she was used as a puppy machine, and when her pups came to rescue, we insisted on bringing her in as well. She has been doted on by her foster, who states she is the "easiest foster I've ever had." She is available for adoption and her fee is $250, which includes her spay surgery and adult vetting.
