About Comet

Hey everyone, my name is Comet and at about 6 months, I’m a still a very young girl.  I had a rough start and was born on the cold hard streets.  Thankfully, that life didn’t last too long and I was brought into a super loving and patient foster home.

I am learning how to trust humans and to accept attention and that being a spoiled house cat has a lot of great benefits (like, warm beds and hunting is just for fun, not survival).   I have also learned that once someone earns my trust, I really enjoy being pet and don'd mind being force cuddled by that person.  You know what’s really fun to do when a human is sleeping?  To snuggle next to their feet.  They are my prisoner and don’t get to escape without me knowing about it.  (face it, when you’re a cat, you take power in any form possible, lol)  This lets me be super close to a human without any pressure that makes me nervous.

Please know that even though I am learning to trust and love people and have a sweet temperament, I am not yet an accomplished cuddle cat.  I need a home with a patient human(s) and maybe a mentor cat(s) to continue helping me become the fabulous (and totally gorgeous) gray tabby that I am meant to be.  And, treats too – I bet I can be bribed a bit with some Temptations or chicken or what’s that on your plate?

One last thing, I understand little kids have a louder volume and move very quickly, that will make me very nervous.  However, older kids who are willing to be patient with me and let me set the pace, might be great friends for me

All cats are spayed/neutered, mircochipped, FIV/FeLV tested and up to date on vaccinations (combo shot, rabies - if age appropriate)

* Long Time Resident Reduced Adoption Fee - $25 off adoption fee! * Creflo is a fabulous, affectionate 10 year old fluffy boy of about 50 pounds.  He will give kisses and shake hands. In fact, he really loves to hold your hand while you sit and watch tv. Sleeping at your feet is one of his favorite things.... He loves company and would really like someone who is home a lot though he does well resting when you need to go out too.  He has learned to enjoy gentle walks to the park and will stop to water every post and tree. Truth be told, he's pretty good at rationing pee for the return walk home too! A mile is about his limit. Creflo enjoys tug and chasing tennis balls. He has a particular gentle nibble for his squeak toys as he searches for the squeaker.  Creflo wants you to know his absolute favorite toy is his “hedgie”. He has 3 and they are ALL his favorite toy. He loves treats, especially Blue Dog Bakery Softies.  He will sit and hold his paw out for “Hello”. Creflo had one owner for his first ten years and never left home so he is still exceptionally scared of the car and very nervous going into new buildings. He has however gotten to really enjoy his walks and will wait at the gate if you pick up his leash. He has done extremely well with a home visit vet for booster shots. He likes to sleep on his bed next to your bed at night. He appreciates being tucked in with his blanket and frog and will mostly sleep through the night without needing to go out. If you get up, he will get up too. The small dog in his foster home is too scared of big dogs to play, but he has done well out on walks with dogs he has met. He loves to chase squirrels and would likely chase cats. His foster home has cats which he barks at, but because he can't do stairs he doesn't chase them. He responds quite well to the command “No Bark”. He currently lives with 3 children so noise is not an issue for him. Children must know dog manners and understand not to startle or tug on him as he does startle easily. He does not guard his food but shows a reasonable concern about his toys and bed (not growling, just alertness and concern that someone is taking his toy). He will guard durable rawhide type chews so these may not be the best choice for Creflo. Kongs with peanut butter or cheese whiz are a big treat when he is left home alone. Creflo responds extremely well to love and tenderness. He loves baby talk and attention. He just wants a friend for life Dislikes: Stairs (he can handle a stair or two, but prefers to have ramp available if there are more stairs that that! Being picked up Car rides Having his collar grabbed - he will get a bit snappy. He prefers to be directed with treats!   show less

Look into my eyes!  Now that you’re under my spell and can’t look away, allow me to introduce myself.  I am Jame-0, a 3-month old, female, medium hair grey & white tabby with, clearly, irresistible and soulful eyes.  I have successfully been introduced to other cats, dogs and kids.  While I’m not being social with others, I must admit I do enjoy chasing my tail and checking out the scenery from a window.  It’s like there’s a whole other world out there & I think it must be observed.  I’m pretty confident around new people and like snuggling and playing.  I’d love to have a critter buddy in my new home so that I have a playmate and someone to follow around.  Even though I’m small, don’t worry about losing me – just call & I’ll respond with a squeaky kitten meow and find my way to you and the adventure that awaits.  I could go on about how perfect and special I am, but wouldn’t you rather find out for yourself?  Please let the nice people at Demi’s know that you’d like to have a playdate with me.  While you’re at it, don’t forget to fill out an application and bring a crate, cuz you will NOT want to leave without me. All cats are spayed/neutered, mircochipped, FeLV tested and up to date on vaccinations (combo shot, rabies - if age appropriate) show less

I am Oscar, however I am not at all attached to that name. I answer better to “Stop” anyway. I can’t help myself from barking at the yaks and chasing the cats. Except Diablo; he is one boss-cat. I’ve only been here 2 days, cut me some slack. I am confident. I’ve heard of Chihuahuas that are afraid of their own shadow, puleeeez. Even though I came from doggie jail, rode in a van for several hours, said goodbye to my pal Ozzie, met many new people, got in a car again for a long ride and found myself among 4 dogs, 3 cats and 2 yaks I was totally fine. I am strong. I am not a purse-dog. Legs like these were meant to be seen. I love laps though. I love vegging in front of the tv as much as I love going on walks. I fetched a ball once….meh. Maybe fetching will grow on me if I have kids in my forever home. I am calm. I’m not a nippy snippy Chihuahua I’m a fast learner so I WILL learn to leave cats alone…..probably.  I don’t think English is my first language, but I know “beddy-by” means to go to my kennel. I am funny. I’m easy going and have a great sense of humor. I do impressions. When I’m barking at yaks I sound like a much larger dog. When I’m excited about a walk I sound like a….well, you’ll see. I can’t imagine why I’m homeless. I’ve done everything right. Oh well, I am ready for my new adventure. Will it be with you? All dogs are spayed/neutered, mircochipped, heartworm tested - if age appropriate and up to date on vaccinations (combo shot, bordetella, rabies - if age appropriate) show less
