About Scarlett

Frankly daahling, I dont give a darn!!  No just kidding.  I do give a darn, about a whole lot of things!!  I love kisses, toys, other doggies, humans, the list is endless.  I am a 5-6 month old Beagle/Mix Puppy , about 27 lbs, and will be about 35 when full grown.   I have a very special way of looking into your eyes and giving you kisses and making you fall into love with me.  I would love to have another doggie in the house to play with as I gain confidence with another dog around.  I kennel well when my foster family is at work.  I have mastered snuggling.  Happiness is my game.   Basic commands and potty training are my job right now so you will have to continue to work with me.  I am ready for my family to whisk me away!!

If you are looking for puppy love, please apply and give me attention and patience!  I am a forever doggie, not  an  until something happens doggie!   I am current on all my vaccinations, micro chipped, altered, and HW negative.  I am fostered in Omaha, NE.  My adoption fee is $250.00.

Hi my name is Bella!!  I am 5 years old, weigh around 40lbs and I am a Bagle!! (Basset/Beagle Mix).  My foster mamma has sent in some good information about me!  We are hoping I can find my forever home very soon!!      Please take some time and read my story below!                                                                                                                                                                                                                           House trained:  Yes, from Day One.  I have a doggy door, which she uses freely. Kennel Trained:  No need to kennel me! Leash trained:  No.  She does not fear or fight leash, just does not understand what it is for and just stands there.      Temperament:  Sissy is very sweet and gentle.  On first approach she shies away. However, when I sit down she comes up to be petted. If I am sitting on the sofa, she curls up against me. She is a quiet girl.   Other pets/dogs:  She does great with other dogs and would do best with at least one doggie sibling. I don’t know about cats but I wouldn’t want to be a squirrel.  She does not bark at squirrels but she spends many enjoyable hours chasing the squirrels from tree to tree and is intently interested in them.   Behavioral issues: She was reportedly a backyard breeder’s dog and had few social skills at first.  However, she clearly wanted human love and came up with the other dogs when they came up to be petted.  Now she is quite the love bug.  She particularly loves being in the backyard, snow or shine.  However, she has come to know the joys of the sofa and will curl up on a drizzly day. We have an evening routine, developed especially for her sister, Bella.  At bed time, I turn the lights down.  Bella sees that and comes dashing through the dog door and zooms for the sofa.  Sissy comes in behind her and comes up to be petted and cuddled.  She does not like loud noises. Many times, if I am moving fast when she first sees me, she shies away.  However, when I bend over and call her she comes to me.  However, if she is outside dashing around and exploring, she does not come when called.   Other: I live in the country and have a really big yard; she truly loves to explore.  I don’t know if she would thrive in a house-bound environment.  It would depend on how much cuddle time was available. My favorite nick name for Bella is  “Sissy Boo”!    I always talk slowly and gently to her, as she is still shy.    Bella   Bella is current on vaccinations, HW negative, spayed and micro chipped.  She is currently fostered in Table Rock, NE.  Her adoption fee is  $225.00 show less

Fostered in Omaha - This smile says it all, doesn't it? Cooper is a happy boy who loves life and is always on the go looking for a new adventure or friend! This boy is a mover and a shaker, but most of all a mover, who would enjoy being active with his family. We think this kid would make an awesome running partner or agility dog, where he could show off his stamina and his desire to please his person. He gets a little nervous in new places, but with someone patient and a little work, we think he would really enjoy discovering the world since he does so well in the car. Cooper is a hound/shepard mix -- really an All-American boy and completely unique. He loves to play with other dogs, and has a rough and tumble personality with a bold play-style -- not for dog playmates who are faint of heart! Cooper is working on learning to share toys, but could live with other pups and thrive so long as boundaries are set and followed by his family. Cooper loves puzzle feeding toys and is one smart cookie! Cooper is an adolescent dog, so he will need someone to continue showing him how to be the best dog he can be. He's a loving boy and very loyal, a kid who likes to keep his people close, but is also fine hanging out and chewing a bone rather than demanding constant attention. We think Cooper is as special as they come and we cannot wait for him to find his family. If you think that may be you, apply today! Cooper is microchipped, UTD on shots and is neutered. Cooper is 55 lbs.  Fostered in Omaha, NE. show less

Hi future mom and/or dad, My names Daisy and am a 11 year old Beagle. I might be mature and curvy, but I have the spirit and heart of a dog half my age. I want two things in life running around in a very secure fence (like to dig my way out) and to snuggle with you. I love belly rubs. I also love short walks around the neighborhood. I do have some minor health issues. I tore my ACL on my back left knee in September of 2017 year. BBRH paid for my surgery last.  I limp from time to time. I have arthritis in the back, knee, and paws. For the knee and joints I receive a daily dose of a joint chewy and fish oil. I have seasonal allergies and I take Benadryl to help relieve my symptoms. I take a weekly pill (DES) for urinary incontinence. I was told by the vet that this issue is common in old gals. I have recently been diagnosed with Lupus of the toenail. My foster mom looks at my toenails weekly to make sure none are infected or bleeding.  At this time, no medication is required. When the Lupus worsens I will need to take a low dose of a steroid pill daily. I get along with the 3 resident cats. I avoid them they avoid me, a win-win situation. My foster mom has a middle-age Beagle that I love hanging out with in the backyard and a younger dog that is too much for my mature self. I am seeking someone that is home most days for I can keep an eye on the squirrels. I would love to have another dog to snuggle and to help patrol the yard with me. Since, I have joint issues and older I prefer no young kids in the household. I'm being fostered in Lincoln, NE.  My adoption fee is $150.00. Love, Daisy       Daisy is current on vaccinations, HW negative, spayed and micro chipped.   show less

The eyes are the window to the soul we have  been told.  This boys soul is one of the sweetest.  Dexter is a 10 year old Beagle who found himself coming into rescue from a previous owner who did not have time for him and his issue anymore. This loving boy is house broken and will cue to be let outside. He does not need crated and prefers not to be.  He loves children and does great with other dogs too! (Cats unknown). Dexter LOVES food, so much that he is willing to jump on a chair to help himself to your left overs!   His dog food and other human food does need to be safely kept out of reach or locked so that he does not find himself in a feast and end up at the vet again!! Poor Dexter does suffer from chronic severe allergies, so he needs a patient owner that is willing to provide consistent medication and occasional baths.  He has been receiving this attention and is much more comfortable than when we first got him. He would do best in a home where someone is present most of the time, as he suffers from severe separation anxiety. He is what we consider 'speechless' for a hound dog until you leave the house. He does not show destructive behavior but will howl, cry, bark, and excessively pace when you leave him.   While you are home you can find him curled up in a blanket, taking a snooze!  He is an extremely sweet and gentle boy who wants a loving home with a person to cuddle up next to for his retirement. Are you that person?     **The vet said he will probably be allergy ridden and on meds for life. Some may need to be switched in the future .  Dexter averages about $80 of meds every 15 days.... plus he is on prescription shampoo and foam but that lasts awhile. As part of Dexters adoption his foster mom, who is a groomer, will offer Dexter’s new owners an extremely heavily discounted grooming fee if they want to bring him for baths. (It would include bath, nails, and ear cleaning). ****   Dexter is current on vaccinations, HW negative, neutered, and micro chipped.  His adoption fee is $125.00.  Dexter is fostered in Omaha, NE. show less

Hello my name is Hannah banana and I am approximately three years old, twenty pounds and vertically challenged.  I am a tiny peanut but my foster parents tell me that makes my foster sister Ruby feel tall.  Before I came to rescue I was really good at  being a mom but I have been told those days are behind me.  I am family now and get to spend my time being pampered by humans who I am learning to trust and love.  I really like my role as the neighborhood ‘Gladys’.  I love sitting in the chair by the window and peeking my head through the deck railing to people and bird watch.  There are so many things to keep the humans safe from and I am happy to do my part.  I alert everyone when necessary but I have been told my aroo is small like me.  I am learning what toys and treats are and by far like the treats the best.  I have not had a lot of experience walking on a leash but now that the sun is coming out we are going to start practicing more.  I do well in my kennel when left home alone but sometimes I want to be carried and put in it.  I enjoy sleeping on the big dog bed at night with the humans and the other dogs but sometimes I just prefer the smaller bed next to it so I can stretch out and be a bed hog.  Because I have been a mom most of my life and am still learning how to be family I would do best in a home where the other residents have lots of patience and love.  I am a work in progress but my foster parents tell me those are the best kind.   Hannah is current on vaccinations, HW negative, spayed, and micro chipped.  She is fostered in Omaha, NE.  Her adoption fee  is $225.00 show less

Hey you! Yes you! I know you’ve seen my picture before but look at me now at five-months-old. I am a sweet, gentle, loving, caring pup full of energy waiting to find my forever home. I came into rescue from a hoarding situation when I was only 6 weeks old and unfortunately had some medical issues which delayed me in being a adoptable.  I am now a healthy rambunctious puppy looking for a home where I can be snuggled and played with. They think my mom was a lab terrier mix but I think I may take after my daddy and have a little more lab in me. I am still under 30 lb at 5 months old so I should be a smaller lab under 50 lbs.  I love people and other dogs once I get to know them so I will need a home that is willing to invest time and effort in getting me socialized. I will crate up at night and during the day when you are gone.  If you’re looking for a happy-go-lucky boy with an interesting personality, look no further!  I like to play with toys and rough house with other dogs if they will play with me, but I also like to take it easy and settle down next to you on the couch to watch TV.  I am still learning how to be a good house dog so you will need to work with me to prevent accidents in the house since I’m still trying to figure out how to ask. Are you the one that is willing to give me a loving home in return for unconditional love and a lifetime of friendship, loyalty, and happy tail wags?   Jasper is current on vaccinations, neutered, micro chipped and HW negative.  He is fostered in Omaha, NE.  His adoption fee is $250.00   show less

Are you looking for a great, low key, chill companion?  Im your girl!!  My favorite thing to do is relax.  I am super friendly with everyone.  My Foster Mama calls me Lacey Love, Lovey Lace, Love Bug, and Love.  I am a beautiful, sweet, curvy girl, on my way to a spread in Womens Day magazine to show off my new figure! I have lost 1/6 of my body weight, and I have only 4-5 pounds left to go! You see, my previous owner was not able to take good care of me, I was fed constantly, and also had a previous hip injury that needed surgery.  BBRH provided FHO surgery (femoral head osteotomy), a fancy way of saying the bone and hip were so damaged and degenerated that they had to cut out the top half of my femoral bone.  So, I am still gaining strength and confidence back.  I can walk and wobble around (better when food is involved), but am still unsure with steps (I regularly do 2-3 steps to go inside and out, with patience, encouragement and praise).  I am not yet confident enough to do a staircase.  I also struggle with hard surfaces like linoleum or wood. It is a little slippery and once in a while my legs go out from under me.  So foster Mama keeps a small rug nearby to place in front of me if that happens.  Then I can get a grip and get up easily.  Now, if I can live the luxurious life in a carpeted home, I will have no problems! I get attached pretty quickly. I love to be where you are, or at least be able to see you wherever you are.  I am also kind of a lone wolf .  I am OK with other dogs (I just ignore them), or I would be OK as an only dog. I am Ok with cats too.  I ignore them and they ignore me! I can also be a drama queen at times.  I love my people, and I love my green blanket.  It is mine, mine, mine!  So, if everyone respects that, we will get along just fine!  I sleep very deeply, so I can startle easily.  I would probably do best with older kids. I am about 10 years old, spayed, and totally housetrained (I will go to the door and let you know with a little chirp that I need to be let out). I still have some play in me.  I love to nibble and gnaw on your hands.  Mostly, at my age though, I just like to lounge around.  I am as low maintenance as they come! If I can, I like to lean against your legs or lay partially on your feet.  You see, I just cannot get close enough to you!  I will need to continue my diet, and several short walks a day would help me get stronger.  I currently weigh 35 pounds and need to get to 30 pounds for optimum health.  I sure hope I can become your best love bug ever!  Lacey is fostered in Kansas City.  Laceys adoption fee is $200.00. show less

I'm READY!!   I am a very happy young lady who is ready for my forever home!!  I am a 6 yr old friendly little beagle, just a bit plump, weighing in at 37 lbs.  I would be better off with a family who has a bit older kids, preferably over 13 yrs old, since smaller kids make me nervous and I would prefer them not in my face.   My wants are as follows:  someone who can take me for walks to help me trim down, some to love me and cuddle with me, a family to include me and love me forever! I am looking for a home to LOVE ME FUREVER. I know several commands and am totally housebroken. I love peanut butter and long walks...  I get along well with other dogs, even though I don’t play much.  My foster parents have little visitors called grandchildren who stay with them. I am so gentle and loving with them and we love to cuddle together.  But I don't like when little kids get in my face, so it was decided that it would be best if therre were only older kids in the house.  I sleep in my kennel at night and stay in there while my humans are at work and school. Even though I don’t like going into my kennel, I am fine once I get in there. I am so excited to meet my new family because I am now ready to love and be loved. Will you show me your love and be my FUREVER family?   Maggie is current on vaccinations, HW negative, spayed and micro chipped.  She is fostered in Omaha, NE.  Her adoption fee is $225.00. show less

Are you ready to give me some attention??  Hello??  Sweet Wallace is a young adult beagle who was picked up as a stray in mid Missouri and no one came looking for him.  He is about 4-5 yrs old.  He is a super happy guy whose tail is wagging unless he is sleeping.  Sometimes it even wags in his sleep.  Wallace is 99% housebroken and even uses the doggy door in his foster home, although he prefers to have someone open the door for him.  He loves everyone, even kids of all ages and has started to learn to play with humans and toys.  He gets along well with the other dog in his foster home as long as food isn't involved, so he would do best being fed separately if there are other pets in the family.  He isn't quite sure about playing with the other dog, but we think that will likely come with time.  We don't know anything about his history, but he arrived with a few sore spots that are improving and he gets super excited when he is getting attention.  He is kennel trained and is learning that this is a safe place to be when his foster family is away. He is great on a leash and is working on learning to sit.  Wallace would love to have a family of his own soon and can't wait to meet you.     Wallace has had a dental, is current on vaccinations, HW negative, neutered, and micro chipped.  He is fostered in Lincoln NE.  His adoption fee is $225.00. show less
