My name is Doug, when my foster went and scanned me she was so happy that I had an owner even though she said they had lots of explaining to do because I had stickers everywhere and screamed from pain when she was trying to pull them out. I went straight to the vet however, they weren't able to work on me because I had an owner that didn't want me back and finally  surrendered me so I could get the care I needed and I went straight into surgery. I had to have some teeth pulled and those nasty fox tails surgically removed from my ear canal and it affected my hearing just a little bit Moving forward to now, I'm fully healed and loving life. I'm probably one of the quietest ones in the house, but I still like to run and play as long as I can have a nap after lol I like belly rubs which who doesn't! I'm real good when taking a bath too. I like to lay out on the deck and watch the birds fly by. I know how to use a doggie door, but for some reason I don't like going back in it... I've come a long way with potty training and have almost got it mastered except when one of those cute little new girls come into the house I sometimes think I have to show them I'm the man. My foster mom thinks I'd do best with a retired couple that I can devote all my time to, although I like kids I'd rather have a quieter environment and grow old with my humans. My foster mom says I need to take more pictures - so I'll try and get them up asap  show less

Meet little Ziggy I'm the sweetest old man you'll ever meet! I love to play fetch and will definitely let you know if you quit before I'm ready. I like to fuss with the puppies in the house and let them know how it's supposed to be done, it keeps me young. Even with just two teeth I canl play tug a war witht he best of  them and they even let me win sometimes. I have a little bit of a limp from old age, but not in pain however I'm not comfortable going down stairs so my foster mom carries me down them. I have a bit of dry eye that I'm being treated for but if your eyes would have seen what I've seen you may have it too. It's not a big deal I just get a drop in them every 12 hours until I'm rechecked next month.  He had a very loving home for his 12 years however his momma was elderly and wasn’t able to care for home anymore as she had to be placed in a home. My foster mom promised my family that she wouldn't give up until she found someone like my mom to care for me. I'm neutered, UTD on shots, and ready for a home that I can finish my life of retirement in.  Although he does great with kids I think a calmer environment would be in his best interest, he’s housebroken and so easy going you hardly notice he’s there unless you aren’t paying attention to him lol I would love to find a perfect retired person or persons that would make this little guy their forever family. I promise he won't disappoint you. Adopting a senior is one of the most rewarding things that you will ever do.  show less
