About Ginger

Ginger is a sweet 1 year old boy who was turned into a city shelter with his brother Cinnamon. Ginger is a beautiful orange tabby with white markings. He was a little shy and scared when he first moved into his foster dad's home, but is gaining confidence and seeking attention more and more each day.

Ginger is neutered, negative for FIV/FELV, microchipped, and up to date on his vaccinations. Email his foster dad Mike to learn more about him (michael.edward.herring@gmail.com).

Come and meet our PAW cats at one of our weekend adoption shows at local area pet stores. All the cats don't attend every adoption show so if you are interested in meeting a particular cat send in an email to make arrangements.

Hi! Instead of having my foster mom and dad speak for me, I thought I'd speak for myself. I'm Honey, and I am 3 years old and weigh 61 lbs.  I can't believe summer is almost over. We just came back from Rehoboth Beach and did I have a blast! I went to the Farmer's Market and met Alpacas.  Strange creatures and they completely ignored me. I took a picture in front of a stand that sold HONEY!!!  And I have pictures to prove it.  I ate out almost every day. I sat patiently hoping mom or dad would "share their food". We ate at Egg, Arena's Deli, Dogfish Head, El Jefe Gordo, etc. My favorite place was the restaurant Egg because I got to have some sausages and ham. Yum. Most everyone loved me and I loved them right back. I walk great on leash and I don't bark at all. People kept saying what a great dog I was, which I already knew. Couple people and dogs weren't very friendly. I hope they weren't "breed profiling". I just ignore the haters. Life is too short and I am having too much fun. After a long day of eating out (mom and dad love to eat!), walking on Rehoboth Avenue and window shopping, I chilled in the sun room or watched Amazon Prime back at the great beach house. Or I kept my mom company during "Happy Hour".  She sure loved those.  If you are looking for a great new family member, one who loves to eat out and go to the beach, I'm your gal.    show less

Paddy is an adorably handsome 3 year old American Bulldog mix and weighs 56 lbs. He is a playful and super cuddly boy with soft eyes and a happy tail that's always wagging. Paddy does great with his two canine foster siblings and loves to play with them. He is housebroken, crate trained, walks well on a leash, and knows various commands. Paddy loves to run around in the yard and play fetch with a ball; he will always return it to you and knows the command "drop" while sitting patiently waiting for you to throw it again. He likes to tear the stuffing out of soft toys, so durable toys rated for "strong chewers" work best for him. Paddy will sweetly curl up in your lap or lie down beside you to settle down and relax; he adores being with his people. He needs to be sure he can trust new people, so he does best with soft and slow introductions. Once that trust is established, he loves you fiercely and forever! He's a smart, gentle, lovable boy waiting for his forever family. Paddy will do best in a home with a confident and kindhearted leader, and no young children. Sweet Sky is a two year old, 60 lb., German Shepherd mix who has recently found a foster home. His foster mom has the following to say about Sky: In less than a week since we started fostering Sky, he’s shown that he is smart, energetic, great with kids, great with other dogs, and has an amazing sense of smell. Sky is also great on a leash and, if anything, he takes a little longer to explore every little smell along the way. When he’s home with just our dog, he lays around on the couch all day, and takes a lap around the house every once in a while. He’s not much of a barker at all. Given his looks, his strong food motivation, and habit of exploratory sniffing, we think he’s probably part fox hound. Sky is house-trained and can sit when asked. He travels really well in the car (in a crate). Sky is also a really fast runner but is actually a little clumsy with his long legs.  Sky’s very food-motivated, so it will be important to keep food up and away until he’s been fully trained not to counter-surf. He is also food-reactive with other dogs at the moment. We’re working with him on that issue daily and have been able to have him and our other dog receive training treats together already. If his new home has a doggy roommate, they will need to be fed separately until he is trained to not be food aggressive.  He doesn’t show any food aggression towards people or children.  Sky would make a fabulous companion for any loving home! show less

This handsome short-haired, 1 year old, black and white boy spent the first year of his life outdoors as a stray, but when he was hurt by another animal, a kind family brought him inside for medical attention and a little R&R. He hasn't left the indoors since—he very much wants to stay an indoor cat. He has the gotten the hang of the litter box, and has been neutered. He's quite smart and comes when called. He's also extremely food motivated and will eat wet food, dry food, and may eat your food if it smells good.  He also loves toys. He especially loves to bat around his toy mice and doesn't mind when they get stuck under furniture. He enjoys being around people and will follow you around the house staying nearby hoping for a head or chin scratch.  He does okay with children, mostly ignoring them unless they have food.  Speedo has made it known that he'd prefer to be in a single cat household. He's never met any dogs. Speedo is neutered, up to date on his vaccinations and tested negative for FIV/FELV.
