About Dave

Meet Dave! Dave is a beagle/ shepard mix. He is around 2 years old. Dave was dropped off at a common dump spot for pets in Memphis with his best friend Sam. They found shelter in a junk yard and the staff took care of them until the company went under new managment and they threatened to shoot them if they didn't get off the property. They have since been fostered in a barn with one another and with a foster in PA. They are both very sweet and love to cuddle and be loved on. He has been around a lot of barn cats. He doesn't mind them, but we do recommend adult cats as he does tend to play a bit rough with them at times. He is very dog friendly, and has lots of foster brothers and sisters that he plays with. Dave can follow simple commands and loves his treats and squeaky toys. Dave does well with children. He is neutered, UTD and has finished HW treatment so he is READY FOR HIS NEW HOME!!   Meet Betty.  Betty is a four-year-old  American Pit Bull Terrier. Betty is the sister and litter mate of Billy who is also featured at Charlie’s Crusaders Pet Rescue.  Betty has been home-raised all her life.  She did go to a new home for nine months but was reclaimed by the original owner and breeder because the new owner failed to provide shelter for her.  Other terms of the puppy contract were also ignored forcing the original owner to take possession of her.  Recently Betty’s owner was diagnosed with Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension making it impossible to care for four dogs.  Betty is a spayed female, current on all her shots including rabies.  Vet records are available.  Betty loves kids and other dogs but is probably too much dog for small children.  She will be a great companion for children eight years and up.  Betty is housebroken.  She loves to go for walks and loves to play with her brother Billy.  She is very friendly and loves attention from visitors and strangers.  She settles down quickly after an initial introduction.  She loves human touch and really loves to cuddle in bed or on the sofa.  She and Billy will be wonderful additions to any family.  Betty and Billy are crate familiar but have rarely been crated.betty and billy are a bonded pair and would like to stay together.
