Hi! I'm Peanut, a high-energy girl who lives life to the fullest. I'm three or four years old and weigh 45 pounds. Like many Coloradans, I'm a transplant. I was living as a stray in New Mexico until some wonderful people found me and put me on a transport to Colorado. I can't tell you enough how I love my new life in Boulder! I enjoy going on long walks and exploring my neighborhood. All the sounds and sights really excite me, and I have fun investigating just about everything. I'm in heaven in my backyard because I get to chase squirrels and roll around on the grass. I just love being outside. In the house I'm trusted to roam free. It doesn't faze me to hang out in my crate for a few hours when necessary, especially if I get a yummy peanut butter stuffed Kong to keep me occupied. I'm happy to have so-o-o many toys to play with, especially if they're crunchy, or squeaky, or fluffy ;) I love to shower my foster mom with affection by snuggling with her and giving her lots of kisses. I've been learning a bunch of commands, if you watch my video you can see that I always sit before mealtime! I've lived with a couple of different dogs, though I don't hang out with them much. I've also had other canine companions when my foster mom has dogsat for friends of hers. Depending on the dog, I can be a little protective when I'm asked to share my home with a new dog and sometimes need a little help adjusting to the situation. I've spent the occasional weekend with a cat, and I didn't mind his company at all. I haven't met any children yet, so I can't tell you what I think of them. Since I can be rowdy and rambunctious when I play, a family with young children might not be the best fit for me. I love meeting new people, and would love meeting you! Please consider filling out an adoption application so your home could be my forever home. Our adoption fees cover transport from a reservation or high-intake shelter, vaccinations, deworming, food, alteration, any needed treatments and microchipping for identification. We foster our animals in homes around Colorado instead of one central facility, so your adoption payment goes further toward helping more animals find safe homes filled with love. show less

This is Snuggles. Snuggles is shy and isn't quite trusting of people yet. She is a sweet girl who will need to be adopted with her sister Jenna. Jenna is more social and will help her continue to build confidence. She loves to play and purrs big when gently loved on. Snuggles will allow you to hold her but will take time for her to feel secure. If you are someone who works from home or loves to spend time at home with your kitties, then these kitties are for you. The more Snuggles is  around people the more social she will become and with her social sister it will help her.   This is an indoor kitty. She is not a barn cat. She needs a loving owner willing to help build her confidence and help her to feel safe and secure. Young children in the household would probably not be a good fit for Snuggles as alot of activity in the household would probably be scary for Snuggles. You can meet Snuggles and Jenna at the Chuck and Don's store in Castle Rock.
