About Dixon

Meet Dixon! Dixon is a 2-year-old, 63 pound cutie with similarities to a pit mix. Dixon was dumped at a shelter in Mississippi and was within hours of being euthanized. Charlie’s pulled Dixon out of the shelter and he is now ready for his forever home! Dixon is one of the sweetest boys we have seen come through our rescue- he loves people, gets along with other dogs and loves children. Dixon has met a few cats and wants to play with them and is easily redirected. Dixon is a strong boy and loves to run around and play and is working on his commands. Dixon is house trained, walks well on a leash, is great in the car and has tons of love to share with you! Dixon is neutered and up to date on his shots.   Meet Betty.  Betty is a four-year-old  American Pit Bull Terrier. Betty is the sister and litter mate of Billy who is also featured at Charlie’s Crusaders Pet Rescue.  Betty has been home-raised all her life.  She did go to a new home for nine months but was reclaimed by the original owner and breeder because the new owner failed to provide shelter for her.  Other terms of the puppy contract were also ignored forcing the original owner to take possession of her.  Recently Betty’s owner was diagnosed with Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension making it impossible to care for four dogs.  Betty is a spayed female, current on all her shots including rabies.  Vet records are available.  Betty loves kids and other dogs but is probably too much dog for small children.  She will be a great companion for children eight years and up.  Betty is housebroken.  She loves to go for walks and loves to play with her brother Billy.  She is very friendly and loves attention from visitors and strangers.  She settles down quickly after an initial introduction.  She loves human touch and really loves to cuddle in bed or on the sofa.  She and Billy will be wonderful additions to any family.  Betty and Billy are crate familiar but have rarely been crated.betty and billy are a bonded pair and would like to stay together.
