About BIRGITTA (Middle East)

Adoption Fee: $500

Due to current travel restrictions there may be a long delay before I can get to you. Please only apply for me if you are willing to wait.

BIRGITTA (Brigitte)
Breed: Aidi mix (Atlas Shepard dog)
Gender: fe, spayed
Age: 3 years old
Wgt/Hgt: 42 lbs/almost 25-1/2 inches
Relations: Scared of other dogs/good with kids (per policy)/unknown cats
Activity Level: Moderate to somewhat active
Highlights: Loves people, food motivated (great for training), calm temperament
Region: Middle East

Sometimes bad things happen that lead to wonderful opportunities... that is my story. I was involved in a serious car accident here in the Middle East and the people who found me thought it best to put me down as my treatment would be too costly, but lucky for me there were others willing to step in and help with the surgery costs.

But my story does not end there. It was not long before they came to learn I also had parvovirus. Things did not look good for me. But I am a survivor and after months of care I was finally strong enough to undergo the extensive surgery I needed.

The surgeon had very little hope I would walk again, but again I amazed them ! With physiotherapy and lots of love, I was able to regain the use of my legs quite well if I may say so myself. I do drag my back leg a bit but it adds to my charm - check out my video.  https://youtu.be/KwmvoM9yLPs. Now I am running too https://youtu.be/qaFU1lT28HE.

When I was living on the street food was scarce, so now I will eat and eat and eat ... I am very food motivated. Bet you could use that to your advantage to teach me lots of tricks.

Next to food my favourite thing is tummy rubs and will drop whatever I am doing to get one of those!

I am a people pleaser and love all of you two legged creatures .. especially the youngsters - I very much enjoy playing with children. It’s the four legged ones I am not too sure about. Other dogs scare me a bit but with time I will warm up to them and welcome these new friends too. I  am never aggressive just fearful. https://youtu.be/690U-kbYCEM.

No one is 100% sure how I will react to cats, as there are none here at my new foster, but one of the rescue volunteers remembers me during my time on the street and never once witnessed any aggression by me towards the cats that approached my food. But if that is important to you, they have promised to try their best to introduce me once our world opens up again. I have encountered cats on my walks with my foster and I do pull but it is thought it is out of curiousity not aggression.

This lock down is hard on everyone. But here at my foster, with Parvo in my past, I have blossomed into a healthy happy dog with a calm temperament full of love for everyone. My foster thinks I am just the sweetest dog around.

Now it is time for a new chapter, the one that has lead me here... one I hope, involves a forever home in Canada with you !

I have been spayed/neutered, *vaccinated & micro-chipped.
My adoption fee is $500.00 CAD + applicable taxes. This includes my transportation to Canada.

Due to current travel restrictions there may be a long delay before I can get to you. Please only apply for me if you are willing to wait. Purdy (Nora) Breed: East Euro Shepard mix Age: 2 years Gender: Fe, spayed Wgt/Hgt: 62 lbs / 29.5 inches Activity level: easy to moderate Relations: good with dogs/ unknown cats & kids (per policy), though quite gentle natured so maybe Highlights: house trained, friendly but bit timid at first, well behaved, foot damaged, loves tummy rubs Region: West Bank Those who run the shelter allow me to freely roam around the shelter, because I am so well-behaved. Yup that's me, a good girl - sweet like chocolate... Purdy's chocolate and I'm sure you know how good that is. Life didn't start out well for us here in the West Bank, but things are really starting to look up now that I am getting a chance to find a home. My bro and me were dumped in a cardboard box near the shelter as puppies. I have a little trouble with my paw, as a car ran over it when I was little. The vet said bones were smashed in some toes when he saw the x-rays. I can walk though and get around okay walking and when moving quicker hopping on 3 legs. Perhaps a soft bootie will help more. My rescuer is checking what else to do about that foot. Though I am uncertain about walking on a leash on the tile, you can see I can put pressure on my foot ok. https://youtu.be/1IQxr6gkEAY. Though I can be a bit timid at first meeting, if you just have a bit of patience with me, I will warm up to you and get friendly. Once introduced and comfortable though, I am friendly with anyone. It is just first time nervousness, given time and slow intro, I fare better. Oh, I am also house trained already, big plus. I really love people, once over my trepidation. I certainly like other dogs too. I have not yet been around the feline persuasion yet however, so unknown what my reactions may be to one. Nor have I had the chance to make acquaintance with kids. Ideally upwards of an easy going to moderately active home would suit me. Whether with a family or person wanting a buddy to hang with, I would be happy with either. I just think it will feel so great to have grass under my feet and a loving tummy rub. Canada sounds wonderful. Hoping you can bring me into your home soon. My wait has been so long.   I have been spayed/neutered, *vaccinated & micro-chipped. My adoption fee is $550.00 CAD + applicable taxes, this includes my airfare to Canada.   Disclaimer: It is important for all applicants to visit our website, http://www.lovedatlastdogrescue.ca/adopting/ and read about Loved at Last Dog Rescue. Due to current travel restrictions related to Covid19 there may be a long delay before I can get to you. Please only apply for me if you are prepared to wait. RAFFI MUST HAVE A DOG FRIEND IN THE HOME SO PLEASE ONLY APPLY IF YOU HAVE AN EXISTING DOG AND ARE LOOKING FOR A SECOND.   I think it's time for me to find out what it's like to have a real home.  If you have another dog in your home, would you please consider adopting me?  I am Raffi, a one year old Jindo/Labrador mix, of 37lb. My relatively long legs give me a height of 21 inches.  Let's go back to April of 2019 so I can tell you where I started life. Picture a bridge over a busy road in a place called Jeju Island and imagine finding 4 tiny puppies tucked up underneath the bridge as cars rumble by. The person who first discovered us there was concerned that our mother was around somewhere and would be looking for us, so she moved us just far enough away from traffic and left us there.  She didn't forget about us, though it wasn't until 4 months later that she could go back there and rescue us all.  It was quite a challenge for me to get used to being around people after spending the first 4 months of my life without human interaction. I'm still a little nervous when I meet new people and need time to feel comfortable, but once I know you I am very happy to be petted and handled.  Here I am meeting a stranger: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SDyQcfLU_Is&list=PL3UlJJYID8eHi-BG1n2u0zKaHsmelWzMU I am gentle, but a little nervous with these children petting me, so a home with older children who will be patient with me would be best: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CbzXCMUw9SY&list=PL3UlJJYID8eHi-BG1n2u0zKaHsmelWzMU&index=2   Fortunately I have passed all my behaviour assessments after 3 months at Welcome Paws Academy so I'm ready for adoption now.  The people who have been caring for me notice that I get a real confidence boost when I'm around other dogs so I am looking for a home with a dog friend in the residence. I'm the kind of dog who enjoys dog play very much but I can also read the signs of those who aren't interested: like this small dog:  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_UUeLSEYQB8&list=PL3UlJJYID8eHi-BG1n2u0zKaHsmelWzMU&index=4 The cats I've met are quite intriguing and I wouldn't mind playing with them too. I don't show any aggression toward them but it is always important to supervise initial introductions. My idea of play could be a bit much for some cats. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Wywb960bzlU&list=PL3UlJJYID8eHi-BG1n2u0zKaHsmelWzMU&index=6 Once I know my person I like to stick close to them: I won't pull on the leash and I don't wander off. I'm not a high energy dog, but I take a lot of pleasure in being able to explore the great outdoors. Once you and I have bonded I can envision us enjoying walks together. Certainly I would have great fun at your local dog park. In the home I tend to be a fairly calm dog, so, other than being a little timid, I've got it all going on. I'm hoping you'll think I'm a pretty good catch.   I am neutered, vaccinated and microchipped and my adoption fee of $550 + applicable taxes includes my airfare to Canada Disclaimer: It is important for all applicants to visit our website,  http://www.lovedatlastdogrescue.ca/adopting/  and to read about Loved at Last Dog Rescue.    Information included in the profile is provided to us from the international rescuer or local fosters. Due to current travel restrictions related to Covid19 there may be a delay before I can get to you. Please only apply for me if you are prepared to wait.   Have you ever heard of 'happy tail' ? It's a thing with some of us - we just can't stop wagging our tail, even if that means bashing it so hard against the side of the kennel that it becomes injured and bloody.   My name is Rufus and I am a wagaholic.  Even though my tail had to be removed I still wag whatever I can because that's just me! I am a one year old Border terrier/Schnauzer mix from S.Korea. I weigh in at a manageable 35lb and I am about 20 inches tall, so I'm the kind of medium sized dog who has plenty of stamina, but isn't so big that you can't pick me up if necessary. The dog control people found me on the streets and took me to the pound. There is a high kill rate there so it wasn't long before I was on the euthanasia list. Luckily my unique look and friendly nature caught the attention of one of the volunteers who got me out of there in time and I am now at a private shelter where I am being well cared for until I can find a forever home.   Hopefully, that's where you come in! Are you interested in a happy extrovert who likes kids and loves to run around with other dogs? Have you been thinking it would be great to have a dog with the kind of wiry hair that is fairly easy care? A dog who is fun, curious and energetic?  I knew it! I'm perfect for you!  Check out my swagger;  I have 'cowboy' legs! Just another unique, and hopefully adorable, quirk: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W5Xc_azpYAo&list=PL3UlJJYID8eFsYpddFs26u0SDku1F_ZXY&index=2 Here I am meeting a complete stranger:  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MyV8J_xgOSY&list=PL3UlJJYID8eFsYpddFs26u0SDku1F_ZXY&index=3 Because I want you to know everything about me, I should tell you that I have a couple of little bald spots on my leg and ears. My fur doesn't seem to want to grow back in those places after I healed from a past skin issue. They tell me that some humans have bald spots too, so I'm in good company. There's a photo of my ear if you're interested.  I have to admit I do pull on the leash when I am taken for walks, so I may need a little help with my leash-walking skills once I come and live with you. It's just because I am so excited to be out and about. Oooh, I just thought of something else I want you to know; I met something called a cat. Odd creature. Between you and me I felt a little bit intimidated.  They tell me there's a possibility you might live with a cat. Well, all I can say is... why? No, really, I don't judge you and I'm sure I would learn to appreciate the cat once I get to know it.  Here I am meeting the cat: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JOkTVglRfOs&list=PL3UlJJYID8eFsYpddFs26u0SDku1F_ZXY&index=6   So now we know that we're meant to be together, here's what you need to do: see that little button that says 'adopt'? Click on that as fast as you can and fill out the adoption application. Make sure you get my name right: R-U-F-U-S.    Meanwhile I'll hang out here and wait until they tell me I have a flight booked. It's all so exciting.    I am neutered, vaccinated and microchipped and my adoption fee of $550 + applicable taxes includes my airfare to Canada. Due to current travel restrictions related to Covid19 there may be a long delay before I can get to you. Please only apply for me if you are prepared to wait.   Hi, are you out there? It's a little hard to tell from under all this hair, but hello anyway. My name is Shaggy - I bet you're wondering why !  I'm only 6 months old, 14lb and 14 inches tall and I'm probably a mix of Maltese and Tibetan Spaniel, judging by my mom's looks (she's the spaniel part).  Mom and I were found on the streets of Shanghai city; not a good place to be, believe me!  We were supposed to go to the shelter, but right now they are doing some construction there to try to make more space for hundreds of dogs, so instead we were brought to the manager's house. You'd think this was the shelter if you didn't know better - there has to be about 15 dogs here! Even though I like being around other dogs, I much prefer living with 15 than with 300, especially when one of them is my mom. You can see my mom in this video - she's the pretty little black dog under the chair. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tnT4eZd3U7o&feature=youtu.be There's really not a whole lot I can tell you about myself because I haven't been in the world very long, but I'm a happy little fella and I think I'd make a great family pet.  I'm hoping that you will be the human who gives me a home and teaches me about life.  I've heard that people in Canada and America like shaggy little dogs like me. I really hope that's true.  Guess I'll have to wait and see if you apply to adopt me.   I am neutered, vaccintated and microchipped and my adoption fee of $600 + applicable taxes includes my airfare to Canada. Due to current travel restrictions there may be a long delay before I can get to you. Please only apply for me if you are willing to wait. SHMOO (Shrewd) Breed: Golden Retriever/Germ Shep Age: 4 years Gender: Fe, spayed Wgt/Hgt: 52 lbs / TBA inches Relations: scared of big dogs, others ok/ unknown cats & kids Energy level: moderate/average Highlights: kind natured, sweet, quiet Region: Middle East Nope, I’m not related to the cartoon, but I’m super cute anyway! I’m Shmoo. I’m a sweet girl, who’s been through a lot, and still managed to keep my kind spirit unbroken. My life didn’t start off right. When my rescuer found me, I was almost gone, since I had been severely abused and beaten. But there was still hope, so they chose to fight with me. After 43 days in the hospital under serious medical care (yes, it was touch and go there for a while), I finally won the hardest battle of my life, and I earned a warrior's title. My rescuer says I’m the perfect example of strength, courage and determination, because I never gave up on myself. And with their help, I survived all the bad things that had happened to me. And look how beautiful I turned out to be! #spiceycolor. It was exhausting though, so now I’m looking for a home where I know I’m safe to spend my days relaxing, having fun and learning how amazing affection, closeness and attention can be. I know I can win your heart over too, I just need a chance. I’m eager to show you how bright my kind nature can shine in the right place with the right people, who are willing to keep fighting with me, but this time for a life full of happiness and love. At the moment, I tend to be timid/skittish, but can you blame me? It was a rough time. I think the one who hurt me was a man, because I feel scared around them, and I am careful about women too. You know, I can be a little too cautious. But I’m sure all it takes is someone willing to show me there are good things in the world. I am a smart girl too, so it shouldn't take long with a bit of patience to teach me how great things can be. Fun walks, treats, toys, belly scratches…. love. Right now, I live in a shelter, but it’s been hard for me since I’m scared of other big dogs. So I really need to find a home to be more at ease. A moderate activity level, but calmer environment would suit me. I’m quite calm myself. Kids and cats are not ones I have been around, so I can’t tell if I’d like them. Better not having young, fast moving kids around yet though.  Given the circumstances, I am not yet housetrained, but should pick that up quick. I’m quite smart and I know how to overcome a challenge. Also, I'm betting once I learn to trust you, snuggling will be a great pleasure. Love conquers all. I look forward to starting a new life in Canada and will be sure to bring lots of love and fun to my new home. C’mon, choose me. I have been spayed/neutered, *vaccinated & micro-chipped. My adoption fee is $500.00 CAD + applicable taxes, this includes my airfare to Canada. Due to current travel restrictions there may be a long delay before I can get to you. Please only apply for me if you are willing to wait. Shugar (Sugar) Breed: Anatolian Shepard Age: 11 months Gender: fe, will be spayed soon. Wgt/Hgt: 46 lbs / 26 inches Energy level: moderate Relations: good dogs, cats, kids Highlights: friendly, bit of separation anxiety, tripaw, likes playing Region: Middle East As a baby of only 1 month old, my rescuer found me alone on a street in the Middle East. I had part of a leg missing. My rescuer rushed me to the vet office where he told her it was not a congenital defect, but that my lower leg had been cut off by someone. So, my rescuer took care of me for a couple months and now is paying for me to be in boarding, while I await my forever home. Sure hope it happens fast. I am so excited to get to Canada. I am gentle with everyone, cats (what are these meowy things anyway), kids, hey bring on the grandma. I love everyone. https://youtu.be/najA6cL_ZGU. I am great with other dogs too https://youtu.be/gaxu9h0Hz8U. Playing and eating are favorites of mine. Food motivated makes training much easier. I haven't lived in a home yet, so am not yet house trained, but that is quick to learn for my smart breed. One thing I don't like, is to be left alone. I will bark for a few minutes after you leave, but will then quiet down and stop. I really just want to be with you giving lovings and getting scratches and playing and cuddling and getting treats and... well, just being your buddy. I bet we could take some neat excursions walking around sniffing things. Ok, I'll sniff, you watch. Oh, the 3 legged thing, I'm used to it now. I get around fine right now, but I will need to use some ankle support (especially while I am still growing), so my ankle can grow strong & won't break down carrying my weight. My rescuers are providing me some special supplements to help too. Maybe you can get me a prosthesis. There's still enough leg there to do so. Then watch out, I'll be running like the wind. Won't you bring me into your heart & home?   I will be spayed/neutered soon. I am *vaccinated & micro-chipped. Due to current travel restrictions related to Covid19 there may be a long delay before I can get to you. Please only apply for me if you are prepared to wait.   How about you and I get together for some one on one time? I would really love that. Right now I am biding my time here at a very crowded shelter in Shanghai. Between you and me, I'm not cut out for this kind of chaos and would much rather live with a few hundred less other dogs. Just give me a little social distancing - please! My name is Snoogy and I am on the smaller side, weighing in at around 20lb with a height of 16 inches. I am about one and a half years of age and made up of perhaps a little bit of Australian Kelpie and a touch of Basenji, but with a smaller build. Can't go wrong with that combo! The dog control picked me up, along with some others who were found wandering the city streets.  People here often just dump their unwanted pets and these days there is so much unfounded fear and paranoia that things have become even worse.   If you're looking for a great little dog to tag along by your side on daily walks and keep you company at home, then I'm your fella. I don't get much opportunity for chin scratches and cuddles these days, but I have no doubt that I would soak up that kind of attention. One look at my eyes and you can surely tell how much I crave a little love.  Here I am on a rare walk with one of the staff here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3YCNEkoO9D4&feature=youtu.be My submissive nature suggests I would be fine around cats, but if you really want me to I can ask the people here to introduce me to one. And for sure I can share a home with another dog if I have to. Hopefully not a big, boisterous one though; that may be a little much for me. Please say I'm the one.  I want to get out of here and start living my life with you. I'll wait right here until you send for me.   I am neutered, vaccinated and microchipped and my adoption fee of $550 includes my airfare to Canada. Name: Sparx (Shanty) Breed(s): Shih Tzu mix Age: 2 years Gender: M, neutered Wgt/Hgt: 13 lbs / 14 inches Relations: good with dogs / good with kids?, awaiting vids / unknown with cats Activity level: average Highlights: sweet, playful, nice, friendly Look at this moustache! Quite nice, huh? Well, it’s not just the ‘stache, I’m a pretty nice guy myself; just like my name, I’m full of light and sweetness. Here in the Middle East, there are a lot of nice yet busy people who travel a lot, and I used to live with one of them. We didn’t spend so much time together for that reason, but when we did, I would make sure my guy was full of love. You could say there were sparks of love all around every time. However, like I said, he was very busy, so he would go on business trips often and I had to stay with other people (usually nice ones) while he was out.  It did help, because I learned how to be with a bunch of different people, so now I have fun with whoever is around, including other nice dogs - https://youtu.be/p4Q31UE9tb4 and kids of all sizes and ages (vids coming.) I haven’t met any cats yet though, so I don’t know how they’d take my sparkling personality, nor if I would like them. Sadly, not everyone is that nice. There was this one time when I was left under my guy’s friend care and he didn’t do a very good job. I still don’t understand why, but the “friend” kicked me really hard on the back, and I ended up not being able to walk. When my guy came back from his trip, he was shocked and worried, so of course, he got me checked by the vet who said I needed a surgery. I’m a brave boy! I mean you don’t get a moustache like this by being a scaredy cat, do you? So I underwent the procedure and now I’m alright again. I can walk and run and play and be nice… I’m back on my game! I do have something of a wobble when I’m all into the walking, playing or running, but c’mon, that's nothing to scare someone like you, right? Weebles wobble, but they don't fall down. LOL. After that ugly moment, my guy decided to do the responsible thing for my sake. He took me to a shelter, and asked for the nice team there to find me a new forever home (outside the Middle East), where I could live surrounded by nice people who would experience, first row, the fireworks I light off every time my ‘stache and I enter the room. Just adopt me and you’ll see what I’m talking about! You won’t regret taking me home for good; I’m the perfect match for Canadian style. And choosing me means you’ll never spend a day in the dark again for I’ll always be there to light your way with sparks of love and sweetness and just overall niceness. I look forward to starting a new life over there and will be sure to bring lots of love and fun to my new nice home, so will I be seeing you soon, right?   I have been spayed/neutered, *vaccinated & micro-chipped. My adoption fee is $550.00 CAD + applicable taxes, this includes my airfare to Canada.   Disclaimer: It is important for all applicants to visit our website, http://www.lovedatlastdogrescue.ca/adopting/ and read about Loved at Last Dog Rescue. SPROCKET (Shado) German Shepard/Spitz (Eurasier) Age: 11 month Gender: Male, neutered Wgt/Hgt: 53 lbs / just under 30 inches Activity level: med to med high Relations: good with dogs & kids / unknown cats Highlights: Friendly, tripaw, playful Region: Middle East Tripaw or not, I still like to play. Hahaaa, full play mode... can't touch dis: https://youtu.be/Caa47cVo710. You'll find me quite the friendly fellow. When I was about a month old, my rescuer found me near a major city in the Middle East with injuries, especially to my leg. I stayed for 2 months under special care, but the nerves in my leg never recovered. The vet decided I would be better off not dealing with further problems, so he amputated my leg. Don't worry, I know how to get around just fine. My handicap doesn't stop me from having fun. I have been with my rescuer for 8 months now. I am so ready to find my always & forever home. You can see by the photos, I like kids just fine. Never had the opportunity to interact with kitties though. People are great though. Hoping we can find lots of fun things to do together. My personality will wow ya. I am a gentleman!  Hope to be coming your way soon.   I have been spayed/neutered, *vaccinated & micro-chipped. Sunshine Breed: Pointer/Anatolian Age: 3 yrs (4 in Jun) Gender: fe, spayed Wgt/Hgt: 51 lbs / 27-1/2 inches Energy level: low to moderate Relations: good with dogs, kids / Unknown cats Highlights: happy attitude, tripaw, loves being around people, adores home cooked meals Region: Middle East Pleased to make your acquaintence dear Canadians. You can see my lovely spirit shine through my happy face. I definitely love people and other dogs too. I was found by a good samaritan living in a crowded shelter close to the capital city of my country in the Middle East. My rescuer noticed me right away because of my injured paw. You see, I had been run over and as a result, my hip was broken in 5 locations. In addition, my left back paw was damaged along the nerve running down through my hip. I was unable to walk when my good samaritan pulled me from the shelter. She took on the responsibility of getting surgery for me, as well as my physical therapy afterward. The veterinarians had to remove bones in my paw, as well as two toes. After sessions of physical therapy though, I was doing fine and walking again. I had lost feeling in my paw however, due to missing some nerve endings, so the doctor said I had to wear a special bootie on that paw. The inflammation in my paw was stable and didn't appear to get worse, so the hope was things would stabilize. When I would move, I kind of used my injured leg as a cane. As you can see by my video, I could run around just like the other dogs. We can still do all the things a family and dog do together.  New update on my toe issue (May 2020): my leg now has been amputated. That makes me part of the elite tripaw club. See my new photos. Watching to learn my new limits would be good in the beginning. https://youtu.be/cg43ieknnzY. As my video shows, I get along and play with other dogs of all sizes. I also love people. Cats are an unknown commodity, because I have not been around any yet. I am also good with children. If I could find a low to moderate level activity home, that would be perfect. I would certainly enjoy taking walks with you, but I would be in 7th heaven just snuggling on the couch with you or anywhere you go. I just love being around people. Another dog buddy in the home is grand by me. I hear hanging out at the dog parks is fun too. I would love to know what it is like to be a part of a real family, who love me as much as I do them. If you make any home cooked meals, I simply adore that. Will you give me the chance to live a life of sweet happiness by your side? I will be ever so devoted.  New update on my toe issue (May 2020): my leg now has been amputated. TABETA Breed: Husky/pointer mix Age: 3 years Gender: Female Wgt/Hgt: 44 lbs / 19.6 inches Energy level: high - med high Relations: good with dogs / unknown cats & kids Highlights: extremely active, playful, enjoys playing ball, sweet natured Region: Middle East Hey you all! My name is Tabeta and I am here looking for the love of my life. They say the eyes are the windows to the soul and boy are mine stunning. It won’t take but a glance for you to see what an amazing dog I am. Playful and full of pep, I’d make a great cheerleader to ensure you get your daily dose of smiles. My peppery looking coat adds just the right amount of spice in your life. If you need more convincing my colourful personality ought to seal the deal. As much as I want to share my past, the truth is not much is known about me before I was found. Since I was a young pup I have been a stray living a hard life. The day I was saved I was discovered on the side of the road somewhere in the Middle East. It was not known what had happened to me, but somehow I had broken my leg. Thankfully the person that discovered me took me in and helped me recover. Now I can say I am as happy and healthy as can be! My only worries these days is finding the right, cozy spot to curl up in. In my new life adventure I am looking for an amazing family to cuddle with to help make my sleeping spot an easy choice. As a young lady who is bounding full of energy and enthusiasm, I am your ideal mascot to bring on hikes or anything exciting for that matter. I am a pretty hyper dog, so if you are looking for a pooch who can keep up with you then I’m the gal for you.  It’s a tough go when you are forever in search of fun times. One great way I drain my energy is wrestling and playing around with my pup pals. I get along great with all dogs and like to think there is no such thing as too may friends. If other dogs aren't around it doesn't stop me from having a blast. Just bring your party hat and a ball and you'll see what a goof I can be. I am as playful as I am lovable and people can’t help falling for me. Being a young dog yet there is no limit to the amount of things you can teach me. Just give me some patience (loads of treats won’t hurt) and in no time you'll see how clever I am.  As a pup with a lot of energy, I would do well with an active family who can satisfy my need for a thrill. My dream home would be a place with a backyard, but if you promise plenty of trips to the park I am sure we can work something out. Having another dog in the house wouldn't be too bad either, given how well I get along with my fellow canines.  Unfortunately I can’t say so much for cats, as I have never been tested with them, so  I will need a house without them.  Though I have a very sweet nature, I have not been tested with children yet either.  As a former stray, I have never really known what having a family means, but I really want to learn. If given a chance to shine I know you won’t be disappointed. Toblerone (Tobi) Breed: Chesapeake Bay Ret & Shepard Age: 4 yrs Gender: M, neutered Wgt/Hgt: 70 lbs / TBA Relations: Good w/ fe dogs / Unkn kids, cats Energy level: Moderate Highlights: highly intelligent, likes snuggling Region: Middle East Mmmmm, aren't I just scrumptious, like candy? Toblerone here. I am quite smart and just look at my luxurious brownish coat. My foot had been run over by a car when I was found. I lost a toe because of it. No worries, I have 15 others to help me walk. I have no trouble running and playing like everybody else. I am good with female dogs, but can get into trouble with other males sometimes. You know how us boys can be, trying to compete. Never been around kids or cats, so no knowledge of how I might get along with them. I will need some basic training, as I am not yet house trained. I really haven't much been in a house. But, my intelligence should lend to quick learning. I am a very kind dog and I can be playful, so I hope you will enjoy teaching me some games. Of course, I am not opposed to just snuggling either though. See my contented look and smiley face in the photos? Sure hope you are ready to bring me into your home soon. I have been spayed/neutered, *vaccinated & micro-chipped. My adoption fee is $500.00 CAD + applicable taxes, this includes my airfare to Canada.
