About Hopper

Meet Hopper!! A 3 year old,55 lb male pit mix. Hopper needs an active family or running buddy to wear off some of his energy.Hopper was found at a local business down South and has been in boarding ever since he is now ready to come up North but needs a committed foster or adopter! He does fine with other dogs and kids but is to curious about cats.Hopper gets excited when he gets out of the kennel and just wants to run and play and be free, but can you blame him? He’s been in boarding at the vets office for 2 YEARS!!!!!!! A fenced in yard and a stable home will tone this boy down immensely, so we wouldn’t consider him high energy given the right living situation. Good news he is heartworm negative, fully vetted - shots, nuetered, the works! The veterinarian staff love him but would love to see him go to his furever home to live out his days NOT in a boarding facility with them. If you would like to foster OR adopt this handsome guy that’s been dealt a crappy hand, please go to to apply today. Any questions please message us on Facebook at Charlie’s Crusaders Pet Rescue!

Meet Holt! Holt is around a year old (as of March 2020) and weighs around 30 pounds. Holt is a handsome Shepard mix looking for his forever home. Before coming to the north, Holt was a resident of the Olive Branch Animal Shelter and, at the time, was not a good candidate for adoption. Holt had been found on the streets and when animal control took him in they used a pole to catch him and we think this caused some issues. Holt would come out of his kennel and greet everyone by jumping upright against them in typical doggie style, but when anyone would try to pet him, he would panic and duck and let out a faint growl and issue a warning snap. He would then go back to playing and jumping up against people and this managed to chase potential adopters away. Charlie’s Crusaders was able to find him an experienced foster where he stayed for over 3 months and become a happy, affectionate, attentive boy. Holt is now being fostered in NJ and he is still skittish over having a collar, leash or harness put on him and he will need some time before he feels safe. Holt also doesn’t like people getting near him when he has food and because of this, a home without small children would be advisable. Holt is a good boy that needs a high energy home with a big back yard and a family to call his own. Holt has not been dog or cat tested. Holt is up to date on his shots, neutered and ready for his forever home! To apply to adopt Holt, please go to! show less
