About Farley The Fall Frolic Litter

Meet Farley! Farley is from the Fall Frolic's Litter. Farley and his 5 siblings were born in a kill shelter where mommy was dropped off, pregnant and alone. Charlie's Crusaders pulled mommy and her babies so that they would know the love of a family. At 4 weeks old, they were transported to their PA foster where they have been nurtured and cared for. They will have their second set of shots on Oct.15, 2019 and be ready for their furever homes on Oct.18, 2019. They will need a third set of shots and rabies provided by the adopter. Please also have a good sized fenced in yard.  They will also be required to be spayed/neutered between 4-6 months old.  PLEASE NOTE: Charlie's Crusaders WILL NOT adopt to homes where puppies will be left alone for more than 4 hours at a time. Apply today at:  charliescrusaders.org

Bentley is estimated to be around 2 yrs old , is nuetered, UTD on all vaccines, and house trained!!!!!!Bentley is aware he is a big guy,  he is still working on manners not to jump when excited . He is currently in foster with other dogs but is dog selective proper intoductions are a must.He LOVES his toys and playing fetch. His foster says hes a bit of a velcro dog, becuase he wants to be where ever you are and LOVES to cuddle! Even though he’s big he’s afraid of small children. We recomend 10 and above ,The trainer believes he was never exposed to them and their loud noises so older children Only........Bentley’s story begins as, He was adopted months ago by a disabled man who adopted another one at the same time but realized his disability was too great to allow him to handle either one so he returned them both. Bentley spent almost 6 months in a shelter who kept getting over looked because of his size . Unbeknownst to us, Bentley had finally ran out of time, and was scheduled to be put down that monday Aug. 26th. By some miracle we recieved an application from  and angel who just wanted to foster "Large, Males" !!! This is rarerity in rescue, for what ever the reasons may be, the larger dogs are harder to find fosters for....... So we called her that Friday (Aug. 23rd) and asked if she would be willing to foster Bentley aned she said YES! Transport from MS to PA was getting ready to leave in a matter of HOURS so our director drove right over and pulled him out of the shelter and got him on transport to his new better journey! The employee at the shelter cried when our Director told her who she was there for because they knew what an amazing dog he is and THAT was when she told her he was scheduled for death in less then 72 hours! Bentley was saved for someone special, are you that someone???Bentley is currently being fostered in Fleetwood, PA.To  apply for Bentley  go to charliescrusaders.org. to fill out an application today. show less

Meet Big Daddy! This guy took 4 whole months to capture! He was found as a stray who ran with Big Momma and was leery of humans. We can only imagine how long they were out there fending for themselves.  We did not give up on them, we kept feeding them and earned their trust until we were able to capture both safely. Big Daddy was super unsure about us, but never in an aggressive manor. We took him to the vet for shots and a physical and all was well except he came back HW positive, so he is currently being treated for that.  A couple days later, this beautiful  76 lb of mush came out!  He has not stopped smiling since and his tail is forever wagging!  For someone who didn’t want to be rescued he’s sure loving it now and thankful every day for his second chance at life with people who actually love him and care about him. The last picture in his bio is when he was given his first doggie bed and looked up at the foster confused and unsure.  You can see from that photo to the photo of him now,  what a HUGE difference love has made in his life!  His foster mom can’t say enough about him.  He’s estimated to be 4/5 years old. He is now neutered and UTD on all shots. He is available for adoption and is currently being fostered in Mississippi waiting his furever home or a willing foster home in the PA/NJ area. If you are interested in Big Daddy go to charliescrusaders.org to apply today! Or any questions about him please message us on a Facebook at Charlie’s Crusaders Pet Rescue ! . He is still available for adoption and is currently being fostered in Mississippi until he finds his forever home or a willing foster in The the PA/NJ area. If you are interested in Big Daddy to adopt or even foster for us, please go to charliescrusaders.org to fill out an application . show less

Jett  About a year old probably Shepherd/Pit mix. He is a laid back, very intelligent, quiet guy who just wants to be with you 24/7. He was rescued off the streets of Memphis,TN. His new mommy who rescued him planned on keeping him, but sadly she passed away shortly after rescuing him. He came to his foster mom quiet, shy, and craving love. It did not take him long to become one of the best snuggle buddies there ever was and is happy to lay with you all day on the couch, follow you around the house so he knows where you are, or going on a walk/shopping. He is protective of his foster mom and will try to pull her away from the other dogs in his foster home when they get too rowdy. He is quick to learn commands. He knows sit, working on down. Walks well on a leash. He is a work in progress with manners but will sit for his meals now.  **NOT CAT FRIENDLY** Small dogs seem ok with him and does well with other dogs when introduced properly and given the chance to warm up to the dog. He currently lives with 3 other dogs who he gets along with but may be better if he is the only dog in his furever home. He loves to romp and play with his foster brother. He likes going out and meeting people. He seems to do really well with kids when he meets them .He's a litlle afraid of men and will be shy and timid at first.  Special considerations:  He does have a leg that was injured pretty bad at some point and it healed up wrong. He has had two opinions from two different vets saying that surgery is not needed unless it starts affecting how he gets around and his overall quality of life. He gets along very well despite it. He may not be the dog for you if you want a running partner, but does love going on walks. He is on glucosamine tablets to maintain his hip joint to help aleviate any arthritis. It was recommended he be given a high quality glucosamine supplement for the rest of his life to help prevent further damage as long as possible. He needs anxiety meds if he has to be crated (he goes crazy being put in a crate and will still get out of the crate unless drastic measures are taken to keep it closed!    Does well in the house without being crated.  We believe he would thrive in a home where someone is there most of the time. He’s been left behind so many times he gets anxious when left alone.  A retired couple to take him wherever they go? Or someone that’s able to take him to work with them and just lay his dog bed in the corner next to them? He’s definitely a love bug and just needs a human he can Velcro himself too.  He LOVES car rides as well.  He is Currently being fostered in the Mechanicsburg, PA area and available for meet and greets!!!  If you would love to be Jett’s forever buddy, please go to charliescrusaders.org to apply.  Any questions , please message us on Facebook at Charlie’s Crusaders Pet Rescue! Another note from his Forster:  His foster mom has come to love him and would love to be able to at least get updates on him and how he is doing. He will be missed. show less
