Coming Attraction!! Rose is a gentle, happy girl who is brand new to our rescue. This little Australian Shepherd mix is a bit of a low rider who is about 7 months old and weighs just 19 pounds. She has a pretty black tri coat and a full tail. We are just starting our evaluation of this sweetie so please check back in a few days! Rose is fostered in Yulee, Florida.

Coming Attraction!! Shorty is one fun, energetic, ball-loving, young purebred Australian Shepherd who is brand new to our rescue. He is about 3 years old, weighs 51 pounds, and has a thick black tri coat. We have just started our evaluation of this guy but we know that he loves other dogs, is fine with children and chases cats. He is also not a fan of his crate! Please check back in a week or so as we expect to complete our evaluation then. Shorty is fostered in Tallahassee, Florida.

SHARING AN UPDATE ON SIR SPOT!!! This guy is doing so well. Showing off his beautiful coat as it grows back - gorgeous deep colors! Sir Spot is a sweet, happy male Australian Shepherd “of a certain age” who is ready for his new home. Given up by his owner who could no longer keep her dogs, Sir Spot is 11 years old and weighs 65 pounds – a good weight for him. His beautiful red merle coat was so matted that we had no choice but to have him shaved, but you can see it is growing back and looking gorgeous! Sir Spot is housebroken, crate-trained (but not a crate enthusiast!) and rides nicely in the car. He knows his basic obedience commands, walks pretty well on leash and has excellent recall off leash. Sir Spot is in pretty good shape for an 11-year-old, with just a touch of arthritis that is not surprising! Sir Spot loves people, and although a little shy when he meets someone new he warms up quickly. He has learned to love neck scratches, back rubs and even a butt scratch or two! He is a Velcro guy who enjoys hanging out with people, whether it is playing fetch (his very favorite game), going for walks or just sharing the living room. Sir Spot also gets along fine with other dogs, male and female, but is not really playful with them. He has not been cat tested. The ideal home for Sir Spot is with a person or family who will make sure that he gets the exercise he needs to keep his muscles and joints in top shape - walks and games of fetch are just what he needs and loves! Another dog would be fine but he would be very happy as an only dog, and a fenced yard would be nice. If Sir Spot sounds like your next best friend, apply today! Sir Spot is fostered in Hermitage, TN

Coming Attraction!!! Tip is a dashing young male Border Collie mix who is getting ready for his new forever home. He is a tall, lanky guy, a very handsome black tri weighing 62 pounds. He is brand new to our rescue and we have started our evaluation. So far we know that he absolutely loves people, including children, he is fine with other dogs, he loves the couch, and he is housebroken. He is also heartworm positive, but we expect that with treatment underway he will be ready for adoption later in January. Please check back as we will post our full evaluation here. Tip is fostered in Lawrenceville, GA.

Young Uma Furman is a little dynamo of a Border Collie who is ready for her new home! She is just over a year old, weighs 30 pounds, and has a soft, short-haired, black and white coat. Uma is housebroken, crate-trained and knows her basic obedience commands. She does well walking on leash and rides nicely in the car. Uma loves people, she is so sweet and submissive, and she REALLY wants to find a family of her own. Uma is such a little athlete and she loves to run around and play chase with her foster family. With some consistent training she would make a great “sport” dog, such as agility or flyball! After a rousing playtime she will come looking for snuggles and kisses, and if it was up to Uma she would be getting belly rubs every hour! Uma also loves to play with other dogs as long as they are not the domineering type (she sees herself as the little queen of the castle). She will chase cats, so a home without cats is required. The ideal home for Uma is an active one, with an athletic person or family who is looking for a 4-legged athlete to join in on all the activities. A commitment to training AND fun is important. Non-dominant dogs and children over the age of 12 are welcome, and a fenced yard is important given how she loves to chase. If you are looking for a small personal trainer who will keep you on your toes and absolutely love you forever, Uma Furman may be your girl! Uma is fostered near Richmond, VA.
