About Petey

Petey

Petey is such a love. Curious and brave, chatty and cuddly all in one little cat. Petey wants to be by your side at all times and is truly the leader of this pack.  She is the first to venture into new territory within the house and the very curious about the dog. Petey is also gentle and kind with children. This hungry little sweet pea will let you know when it is time to eat again and will play and play with toys until it is nap time. She is great about using the litter box and scratching post.  Petey will fit right in with a family with kids and other pets.

Puddles

Princess Puddles is what I like to call this pretty little girl. Puddles wants to experience the world on her terms.  Very easy going, she wants to be near the action to observe but prefers to stay on the periphery. She will come and sit close to you but not too close. Her fluffy fur is so pretty and makes her look bigger than she really is. She is slowly showing interest in the dog and has been excited to explore new parts of the house when the dog is away. Puddles loves snoozing the afternoon away from a perched position. Puddles is great about using the litter box and has not been clawing at anything as of yet. Puddles will be happy in any family situation and will just need a little time to adjust.

Puddles would love to be adopted with one or more of her siblings, Petey or Patch.  They are all dog and kid friendly.

Patch

Patch seems to be the smartest of the sisters. It took her the longest to get comfortable here but she is really coming out of her shell now. Patch cannot be stopped from playing with toys, even when she was nervous at the beginning. Now that she is settled, Patch loves to be picked up and cuddled. This chatty kitty will let you know how happy she is to see the next meal being served. Patch will be happy in any family situation and will just need a little time to adjust.

Patch would love to be adopted with one or more of her siblings, Puddles or Petey.  They are all dog and kid friendly.

Tri is very shy, demure and soft like a bunny.  She came to us when our vet called to ask if we could help.  An elderly woman brought her in when she got her leg mangled in a car engine in December of 2011.  Tri was a feral the woman was caring for in her yard.  She couldn't afford the fee for amputation so the vet asked for our help.  We get a discount so after telling the vet never to do this again (we're a small budget agency depending solely upon donations), I said we would cover the fee at our discounted rate.  Once we said yes, she said Tri would have to stay for 10 days for rabies watch, she bit one of the techs, could we cover that............  yes.  With 2 yes's, she went for the 3rd - could we take her.  The woman was very elderly, had 2 house cats and couldn't take this young girl in and she couldn't go back out.  She's been with us ever since.  She hid for the first year, the second she came out more and continues to show herself and integrate into the house.  She continues to be shy but has her favorite people,  she will circle their feet and allow for petting, even flipping over on her back for belly rubs.  It's not always people who are here a lot, one of our volunteers, rarely here, came in and Tri was immediately attracted - you never know who she's going to pick.  I can only pet her when I'm feeding canned food. show less
