Stachea- Bella 47852 Did someone ask for the prettiest girl with a mustache ever?! Well, you're in luck! I am Bella-Stachea, and like my name: I am beautiful and I'm the softest kitty with a 'stache you'll ever meet! I am part of a squad (the Clawed Squad), was orphaned at only a few days old, and since no one could foster me, I was a few hours away from being euthanized: SAPA sent out a plea with such urgency for me, my brother, and my foster-brothers and sisters that my Foster-guardian had to save us! We are now healthy and happy kittens, who love to play and eat! My foster says if she wasn't already a four time foster-fail, she would keep me! I am ready to be adopted and would love to go home with you to meet my new family! However, my foster wants to make sure I am in the best home. I should be adopted with one of my foser brothers or sisters: I need to have a friend to play with. I am soft spoken, sassy, and a love! Thank you for taking the time to consider making me part of your family. Bottle-baby kittens make the best cats! Please check out my brother's (Billy-Moon, SAPA-A-47855) listing too! I am living in a San Antonio Pets Alive! foster home. By adopting me, you not only give me a new leash on life; you also save the life of an additional pet who can be rescued from euthanasia and placed in foster care. If you are interested in adopting me, please email adopt@sanantoniopetsalive.org with my name and ID#. Please allow up to 24 hours to respond, as all fosters work on a volunteer basis. Jayfun (Bounce, SAPA-A-46993) Are you looking for total affection and loyalty without judgement, whose past has made him the most loving and appreciative kitten ever? Then you need me Jayfun-Bounce! My brother and I were being starved to death! When I got to SAPA they were afraid I was going to die!!! Alas, it was only low glucose. I literally bounced back to purrfect health and am so affectionate! I am weaned, can use the litter box, and I am adoption ready: I even had my rabies shot! Our foster says if she wasn't already a four-time foster-fail, she would keep me! Our foster wants to make sure I am in the best home. It would be ideal if you adopt me with one of my foster siblings. Regardless, I need to have another furry-friend to play with. I will not disappoint you after you meet me! Bottle-baby kittens make the best cats! There is no greater gift than love from me! I am living in a San Antonio Pets Alive! foster home. By adopting me, you not only give me a new leash on life; you also save the life of an additional pet who can be rescued from euthanasia and placed in foster care. Hi! My name is Disco and I was found under a dumpster but am now living the high life at my foster mama's. Guys, my name is not happenstance. My foster mama calls me Disco because I am a high energy party all the time kitty! I love stalking, hand to hand combat, and biting your feet as you walk. But don't worry; I have a sweet side, too. I will enthusiastically greet you when you come home. I have an amazing purr. And I love to be held and carried like a baby! It's the best! Once I'm all partied out, I will crawl into your lap for a nice baby nap. At night I enjoy a nice fluffy blanket to nurse on before I go to bed. Don't I sound like the best cat ever?? I do need an energetic sibling, though, because a party life is more fun when there's two! Send my foster mom an email so I can live my fearless, parkour inspired life with you! I am living in a San Antonio Pets Alive! foster home. By adopting me, you not only give me a new leash on life; you also save the life of an additional pet who can be rescued from euthanasia and placed in foster care. Hi everyone, I'm Floyd!! I'm a gentle, loving boy who is looking for my forever home. Even though the veterinarian says I'm about 4 years old, my foster parents think I might be a little older. No one really knows because I was a stray who was found wandering the streets. I'm a reaaaally timid guy, but I've come a long way in the few months I've been living with my foster family! At first I was so scared that I spent all my time hiding behind a bed with my nose in the corner. Now that I'm starting to understand that I'll never be hurt by a human again, it's opening my eyes to a whole new world! I spend most of my time sleeping in my parents' bed, but I always listen when they tell me to move. Sometimes I get a little pep in my step and try to play with my foster sister outside. She's teaching me what it's like to be a dog livin' the good life. Even when I get excited, I'm still very mellow. I like to have my head scratched, but only by people I know and trust!! Even though I'm a scared guy, I've never shown any type of aggression. I just hide in a corner or under the bed. I've been around kids, but they're a little too loud for me, so I'd prefer to live in a house with adults. It'd be great if there was another very friendly dog already there, because I'd follow their lead when it was time to go outside or get in a car. I'm a very well-mannered boy who hasn't had one accident since I moved in! Everyone who meets me can tell I've been neglected in my past, but once you give me some time to warm up, I'll show my funny, quirky, loving personality!! I am living in a San Antonio Pets Alive! foster home. By adopting me, you not only give me a new leash on life; you also save the life of an additional pet who can be rescued from euthanasia and placed in foster care. Name: GOLDIE 48105 How Big Will I Get? Well, I'm a full grown Yellow Labrador Retriever, if not all, then more than 50%. I am a smaller Labrador in stature at about 20" tall and 31" long. How Much Will I Weigh? I currently weigh 50 pounds! Favorite toys: Chewsticks, Stuffed Lovies and my "Hoomans" Favorite treats: Cesar Filet Mignon! Knows basic commands: Working on it! House trained: Yes Walks well on leash: Walks ok on a leash Dog-friendly: Yes with temperment tested dogs Cat-friendly: I'm way too cat curious! So, unless you have a cat that minds it's own business, then no. Child-friendly: Absolutely, yes! Crate trained: Yes Where does he/she sleep: Either in my crate with my bed or in a bedroom on my bedding. What you love about this foster dog: Goldie recently birthed nine of the most beautiful puppies that took our breath away. That is it for her, as she will be spayed on the 6th of August. Goldie is a lover of a dog. She loves to cuddle and snuggle and be lazy. Whether I'm outside working in the lawn or inside, she likes to be around and doesn't need to interact excessively or be tasked. She is the first Lab that I have met that doesn't go stir crazy if not working all day. She is a Lab and sheds like a lab. So, must own lint roller for the places that Goldie lays. She is really the perfect co-existing person's dog mate! Goldie is current on all her preventatives and will be available to go home to her fur-ever family anytime after her surgery is complete! Harmony 47312 If you're sassy and you know it, shake your rump! My rump is really shaking because I am Ms. Harmony Sassypants! I am calico-cattitude: sweet with the purrfect amount of sauce! I am complete oblivious to the fact that I was literally an hour away from being euthanized! I am just so soft and sweet; you will not be able to resist me. I may be small for my age, but I will own you and have you trained in a few days. My foster mom says if she wasn't already a four time foster-fail, she would keep me! I am ready to be adopted and would love to go home with you to meet my new family! However, my foster wants to make sure I am in the best home. I can be adopted with one of my foster brothers or sisters: I need to have a furry friend to be with me (of note, I am very close to the resident adult cats and love them so much). UPDATE: Hope is doing really well. She will do best in a home without other dogs or small children. Because she is blind, she can be frightened by too much commotion or noise and she's not able to tell when another dog just wants to play, or not. Hope is a female, 2-year old Labrador Retriever blend. She is a complete sweetheart! She is great with other dogs and loves to play with them and loves her toys too. Hope was saved from euthanasia at the city shelter by San Antonio Pets Alive. Hope had been shot and had a severely injured hip. She was also malnourished. She went to a San Antonio Pets Alive foster home to gain needed weight. Once her bloodwork improved, along with gaining 15 lbs and energy, the veterinarian cleared Hope for surgery. She underwent a Femoral Head Ostectomy (FHO) - an orthopedic surgical procedure that helps restore pain-free mobility to her damaged hip due to the bullet that was found. She is recovering wonderfully and now looking for her forever home! Updates from her foster home: - She is a great eater and doesn't bark- she's a quiet one :) - She has learned to walk on a lead well, and she loves sleeping on her bed or in the sunshine - Her sight is not restored, but she does follow hand claps and comes when her name is called- very well! - She is housebroken and enjoys relaxing in her kennel. - She gets along great with the dogs in her foster home and would do wonderful with a "guide" dog friend of her own! I am currently located in a San Antonio Pets Alive! foster home. By adopting me, you not only give me a new leash on life; you also save the life of an additional pet who can be rescued from euthanasia and placed in foster care. This is Kiwi. She is a dachshund/chihuahua mix. She appears to be around 2-years-old. Initially she was very standoffish and had a lot of anxiety. She has come a LONG WAY since entering foster care in early May 2019. While still shy, she has really started to come out of her shell. She is very sweet and soulful; you can she wants to be part of the pack. Also, she is house and crate trained. She is very quiet. She does well with other dogs. Her leash skills are developing (getting better every day!). I don't think she has any experience with cats. I wouldn't recommend that she spend time around young children. However, she would be fine with teenagers and above. She's come a long way, but she still has a long way to go. Are you the one to help her along on her journey? Nessie will take a little time to warm up to you, but once she does you will be her best friend. She will always greet you with enthusiasm the second you walk in the door. Nessie LOVES belly rubs and being with you. If you are lounging then she will calmly sit with you; if you want to go for a walk or play, she is in. Nessie's ideal living situation would be a quiet house with someone who works remotely or spends a lot of time at home. She is house trained and super gentle. Even when you are giving her food or a treat, she will always be very careful taking it from your hand. Sometimes she is timid, but never aggressive or snappy. She walks pretty well on a leash and prefers shorter walks. She likes other dogs and wouldn't mind if you had another pet at home. I am living in a San Antonio Pets Alive! foster home. UPDATE ... Penelope has now been with us 2 weeks and continues to be quite a charmer. She loves everyone she meets. She walks well on a leash, gets along with her canine foster siblings, and is mostly crate trained (she will cry a little bit at first). She hasn't shown any signs of aggression towards our cat, but her curiosity gets the best of her and she has upset our cat by getting too close. We are continuing to work with her, and a future home does need to monitor her around felines. She has not been around children yet, but is mild-mannered and moves at a very moderate speed. She is quick to claim the softest place to lay and loves stealing her foster siblings beds. She also loves stuffed toys! However, her ultimate joy is being near her humans and getting a good head scratch. She's make a great addition to your family. You can catch other Penelope moments at her foster family's Instagram:@adeanadventure and watch her video here: https://youtu.be/ygVQ5MriQ1Q ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Piggy is 4 years old and weighs about 45 lbs. She's a sweet and friendly girl. Piggy (We've dubbed her Penelope) Gender: female Estimated Size when full grown: 45 pounds Pet's Animal ID Number: 536342 Breed: American Staffordshire Coat Length: short Age: 4 years Housebroken: yes Piggy/Penelope appreciates the simple things in life, like napping and head scratches. She is crate trained. She settled very quickly into her new environment and has displayed positive reactions when catching glimpses of our resident dogs. Overall, Penelope is a sweetheart who loves easily. She doesn't require much but to be loved in return. I am living in a San Antonio Pets Alive! foster home. Hello...my name is Sadie. I was living on the streets of San Antonio. It was hard living out there trying to raise my puppies on my own. I was really scared but I was finally caught with my pups and we ended up in the city shelter. My pups have all found homes except for me. I'm scared and luckily found a foster family to help me relax, enjoy the good life and is patient with me. I'm starting to come around. I got on the sofa and sat with my foster family on the other side. I love to be petted but just unsure of everything, still. My foster mom tells me I'm beautiful everyday and how special I am. Hoping to maybe find my forever home and can bond with them too. I'm going to be a loyal/loving girl, I just need a little time. It still amazes me watching the other dogs interact with my human foster mom....not something I have ever seen. I'm not too big at 40 lbs. I'm all legs really. Hoping there's someone out there who will fall in love with my sweet face and give me a chance. I am living in a San Antonio Pets Alive! foster home. Sugar SAPA-A-45902 Female Good with Dogs Not good with cats Unknown with children We believe Sugar is about 2-3 yrs and she was a mother to 6 very healthy pups that have already found their forever home, it's now their mama's turn to find her "furever" home. Sugar is incredibly sweet and fun to have. She loves to hunt for flies in the house or in the backyard and is pretty good at catching them. Stuffed squeaky toy are her weakness and the toys tremble with fear when she is around because she will find their center and rip is out. She is kennel trained and it is recommended that she continues to be in a kennel or locked into a room/ bathroom when you aren't home. She isn't destructive but she does like to climb onto things, such as counters, tables, and if she can she might try to climb higher onto pantries or refrigerators if she can. Aside from being a toy murderer she is very sweet and has alot of energy, so she would be a great running partner. If you have a hyper dog or puppy and would like to get them a playmate, Sugar would be a great dog to have because she is very good with playful dogs. She is not good with cats, however, because she like to chase and nip them and could potentially hurt them. Sugar is very cute; however, she can ONLY go home with an experienced dog owner. She is going to have to gain the trust of her future owner which can take time but believe me when I say it is worth it. I am living in a San Antonio Pets Alive! foster home. By adopting me, you not only give me a new leash on life; you also save the life of an additional pet who can be rescued from euthanasia and placed in foster care. Taylor is an almost 1-year-old tripod shepherd mix at about 40 lbs., that brings a smile to everyone who sees her. She may only have 3 legs but she doesn't see herself as any different and will prove it to you! Her favorite things to do are hop alongside you on a walk, chase flies around the house, play fetch with her tennis ball, or learn new tricks - especially if they involve treats or that tennis ball! She loves to be with you at all times and is a great cuddle buddy. She knows how to speak, sit and lay down. We're working on stay and come. She is great with kids and knows how to be gentle. She would make the perfect addition to your family. She has accompanied us to dog parks, children's birthday parties and farmers markets and has adapted awesomely. She does have a high prey drive and gets very excited to see the cat but I believe with some patience and training she could be a great kitty sister. Hello! My name is Luttrell because I am a survivor. I was one of three and I fought hard to stay alive. I may be small but my appetite is not. I Love to eat, you can say its my favorite thing to do. But I can be picky, I usually rather eat the good stuff; canned or the human food my foster family eats. I have favorite food like; macaroni and cheese, tuna, and steak. I like to be spoiled; but I don't require a lot of attention. I do like to be around people or other animals though. Im great with other cats and dogs are ok but they scare me. When it comes to people I like to snuggle next to them on the couch or on a soft blanket. I like to play on cat trees and any toys that make noise. I don't know why but I am not good at meowing, my foster family says I sound like a sick baby raptor when I try to meow. I am used to having multiple pets in the home and as well as a busy home. I can be shy at times with new people but I like to be bossy once I know you. I like things to go my way so if I don't like something you'll know; I will usually run away or do my baby raptor meow. I am told I am very smart because I learned to use the litter box at a young age. I also know where I get fed because I will run to my feeding area when my foster parents wake up or when I am hungry. I am a big baby in a fat little body and I am ready to go home to my furever family. I am living in a San Antonio Pets Alive! foster home. By adopting me, you not only give me a new leash on life; you also save the life of an additional pet who can be rescued from euthanasia and placed in foster care.
