Meet Adam TatG (made an amazing comeback from scrawny to svelte, but doesn't make a great first impression due to awkward initial shyness, he's like the Kristen Stewart of dogs) Voted Most Likely Too: I clearly win Most Photogenic doggie at all the adoption events, but I sure wish the prize was a family and not just constant applause. Likes: Dog parks, car rides, going on sniffathons, relaxing in bed, cuddles, being your shadow, other dogs, people, supervising your bathroom visits...stealing your food from the table when you turn around (pretend you did not read that last part). A goooood back scritchin and full body massage, but who doesn't? Age/Weight/Breed: I am a SILLY Billy, but my name is Adam and I am a Dogo Argentino/Pitbull mix. I only weighed 40 pounds when I was picked up from the City of San Antonio shelter, but now I am back up to a hunky chunky 85 pounds. I am somewhere between 4-5 years old. Best Skill: Doing zoomie spinny circles, it is a complicated move, but I am very goodest at it, the best really. Life Tip: When you can't find a pillow, use another dog's butt, dog butts are very soft and make great pillows. Favorite Clich: You know that ole clich, you cannot judge a book by its cover. I totally agree. To truly judge a book, you need to nibble it, chew on a few pages. When I first got outta the shelter, I was very hungry and chewing on everything, but I have stopped that nonsense, as long as you give me TOYS! Activity Level: I would thrive in a home with a yard for play time, but also a huge couch for my cat naps...er uh, dog naps in my case. I am strong on a leash, but Foster Mom says I am NOT "the worst she has experienced. Socialability: I am in a Foster Home with other dogs, but did do slow intros. I do great at public places like dog parks, but I become more protective when at home. I am shy at first with people, but if you exchange treats for my love, I will take that trade and then you get to see my goofy ball side. I have been a good boy around kids. So far the only command I know is SIT. I hope you know the command for rubs, because when I roll over to show my belly that means rub it. Big Ask: I am very happy to have my second chance at a home after being dumped and 40 pounds at the city shelter. I want to be a good big boy for you and I will be very loyal and loving. Will you adopt me? Local adoption fee $200.00 (within Texas) Out of State adoption fee $400.00 with transport out of Texas show less

Meet Anna JuM Kermit the frog says it ain't easy being green, but it's even harder being a black dog. And as if that wasn't enuff, it ain't easy being Anna either. Case in point. I'm sure y'all herd of a little ditty called Frozen right? It's a movie for human puppies, children, children is the word. There were two girl stars in that motion picture but who do all the lil human chicks wanna be for Howloween? Elsa. Elsa. Elsa. With her porcelain skin and shimmer turquoise gown. Whelp!!! What about Anna? She exists, she helped, she's brave. Notice the Annas of the world folks, you need us! I'm a lil lady dog, with a 30 pound body and I'll put every ounce of that dirty 30 into my 100 yard dashes when I black swan dive into your arms. I love hugs. Love 'em. I'm listed as part Corgi part Lab, but who knows! You don't have to be pure bread to be a silly loaf, you can be full of muttsterious ingredients and be a Wonder bread! I'm a favorite at rescue camp due to my go get 'em attitude. I willingly walk on leash and am crate trained. I have good recall and will sit for a hot dog, it's a wiggly sit but at least I'm trying to contain myself. I'm fun with other dogs. I keep up with the long legged big dogs when they gallop through the pasture, I don't let being a miniature pony throw salt on my game. Speaking of salt, let's throw some on the ice and melt away the frozen to make way for Anna banana the wonder bread dog. **Local Adoption Only Local in the State of Texas 200.00 show less

Meet Baylee RD, I am an adorable 2-3 month old Shepard mix. I am full of character. I love when my Foster Mom comes to wake me up in the morning. I will talk and talk and tell her how much i missed her during the night. We spend the mornings together playing outside and hanging out. I am great with other dogs. There are four other Foster doggies at my home. I also have cats here! I am good with them but they are not fans of me. If I get too wild and crazy they hiss and me and tell me to go away. For the most part though we all get along really well together. I am good in my crate! I stay quiet all night long. Foster Mom puts a potty pad in there so if I just can't hold it any longer I have that I am able to go on. I also know how to use a doggie door like the rest of my other siblings here. Some times but not often I have an accident here and there simply because I get too excited and forget that I need to be going potty outside! But I am a puppy so that is something that is easily trained right out of me! I love to play outside too. I would love a family that is active and busy just like me! Basics: 2-3 month old Shepard mix, female, great with other dogs, been around cats, loves people, greets foster mom every morning, working hard on potty training, all around good girl, knows how to use a doggie door Local adult (over one year)adoption fee $200.00 (within Texas) Out of State adult (over one year) adoption fee $400.00 with transport out of Texas Local adoption fee puppies under one year $250 ( in Texas) Out of State Adoption Fee $500 with transport out of Texas show less

Meet Biggie Smalls NR Name: My name is Biggie Smalls emfursis on the biggie if you are a Chihuahua, but emfursis on the smalls if you are a Great Dane. It's all relative. Relative to my brothers and sisters, I am size huge, they are 4 lbs, I am 15 lbs. We all came out of a 10 pound Momma. Birthday: October 7th is the day the that shall forever be the commemuttration of my entry into this world. Favorite Song: Hypnotize by the Notoriruffs BIG, his nickname was also Biggie Smalls. Poppa been smooth since days of underroos. I don't know what it means, but I like it because I am also smooth. Breed: I am a "little husky according to some. But I am not a Husky breed. I am a Texas sized chonk of a Chihuahua at 15 pounds, nevertheless, my Momma is indeed a Chihuahua. I was just bigger and brighter than your average Chi, practically walking at one week old. Three Words To Describe: Adventuruffs, curious and brave. Brave except at my first adoption event, the actual biggie dogs were a little scary at first. Favorite Things: People, attention, rubs, food. People holding me and rubbing me and feeding me food. Like a Grecian god getting grapes thrown into his mouth as ladies surround him with fans made of leaves. Except switch out the grapes for pepperonis and the fans with leaves for human hands rubbing me. If that sounds cool to you, put in an application for me! Basics: Biggie Smalls NR- male, DOB 10/7/2019, 15 lbs, Chihuahua/Terrier mix, tricolor, good with dogs, good with kids, curious, adventurous, smart, loves people and attention Local adoption fee $250.00 (within Texas) Out of State adoption fee $500.00 with transport out of Texas show less

I am finally ready to be adopted, but they would like to keep me adopted nearby San Antonio, so that if there are problems with continuing my training, you will have helpers nearby. Exercise and teaching me your human words so I know exactly what to do in all types of situations will really help me feel comfy. I make a show of bravado to prove that I am the alpha dog, but if you have a keen eye for dog body language, you will see that I am really just a scared little guy. I need a confident owner that can make me feel secure and perhaps another laid back tolerant stable dog that can show me the ropes. I am a lanky guy, a Whippet/lab mix, about 3.5 yrs old, smart smart, so I will need YOU to keep me happy and occupied. In return I offer you the only thing I one, my loyalty. You cannot stick a fork in me or throw me against a wall like a piece of spaghetti to see if I am done. I am a work in progress and might not ever be completely done on my training, so if you like projects, I am a project type dog...Why? Whelp, I was adopted as a baby puppy and then later returned. The rescue ladies are not sure what happened in the in between time, but I came back a litteral train wreck and did not want to interact with humans or dogs. The God's Dogs Rescue volunteers knew it wasn't my fault that I had anxiety so they have been working on my social skills for the past few months. I have made leaps and bounds; soooooo farrrrr from where I started on day one. I was full of angst like a High School rom com, but now I am only full of hotdogs and the occasional bout of anxiousness. I have learned that not all humans and dogs are out to get me and, in fact, some even have very good things in their pockets for me to eat. If you want to have a real deal rescue experience, I am a great choice. GOD'S DOGS Rescue, in San Antonio TX, does not have a shelter - ALL of our dogs are raised in foster homes in the San Antonio area. Each dog comes spayed or neutered, up-to-date on vaccinations that are appropriate for their age, microchipped, heartworm tested and on current on monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventative. ALL OF THIS IS INCLUDED IN THE ADOPTION FEE OF $200.00 FOR LOCAL DOGS AND $250.00 FOR PUPPIES. ( Local is in the state of Texas)! Medical records will come with each dog at the time of adoption. IF THIS IS AN OUT OF STATE ADOPTION, TRANSPORT TO YOU is included in the adoption fee of $400.00 for adult dogs and $500.00 for puppies. We transport all over the country!! show less
