About Plumeria

PLEASE NOTE: Applicants for Plumeria must reside within the greater Houston/Galveston area. Plumeria and Orchid are sisters who would love to find a home together. They love to groom each other and wrestle and roll. They will sleep together in a little furry ball once they are tired. Plumeria is fluffy and will likely have medium-long fur once she grows. Orchid is a Lynx Point and will remain short-haired. Both purr when you touch them and are very loving and affectionate. They can be a little shy so a home without small children would be best. They do not like dogs so a dog-free home is a must.

Betty White, a two year old boxer mix, found her way to a high volume shelter with two of her puppies.  Both puppies had a rescue hold so this girl would soon be all alone.  Overbread, heartworm positive, and deaf, her odds of making it out alive were very slim.  That's where we come in.  A foster rushed to save this sweet girl.  Betty has settled in her foster home very nicely.  She is dog friendly with dogs of all sizes and ages.  There are no cats at her foster home. She is housetrained, kennel trained, knows hand signals and does well on a leash.  If you leave the dryer door open don't be surprised to find her in there napping, especially if there are warm blankets or towels.  She will need a secure, 6 foot fence as she is a fence climber.  Betty will also do best with another dog friend to alert her as she is completely deaf.  This sweet, mellow girl has completed heartworm treatment and is now ready for her new home.  Older considerate children would be good for this sweet girl.  If you are interested in Betty, please send an email to to get more information on how to fill out an application and have a great meet and greet to see if this is a match made in heaven.  Adopter for this dog must reside in the immediate Houston/Galveston area and be at least 25 years old.  A home visit may be required prior to this dog going to any home. The adoption fee for a dog is $190 (or $245 for puppies) which includes State of Texas sales tax. All dogs are microchipped, on heartworm protection, spayed/neutered, vaccinated, de-wormed and treated for fleas. show less
